How to Unlock

Crafting 36-Pounders: Devastating requires learning Plans: Devastating 36-Pounders, a Rare recipe paper bought from the Rogue Buccaneers Provisioner once your Rogue Buccaneers reputation reaches Level 4. The plan costs Piastre x500 and is consumed on use; one copy unlocks the recipe permanently.

Ascend to Epic

The Rare version of 36-Pounders: Devastating can be ascended to Epic rarity at the Shipwright's Workshop by combining the base Rare cannon with Tumbaga Ingot. Ascending keeps the Rare-tier effect and layers an extra Epic-only bonus on top so the Epic cannon is strictly better once you can afford the Tumbaga cost.

Epic-only bonus: Reload speed increased by 15%.

When to Use

Devastating cannons excel in long slugging matches. The Raked debuff multiplies incoming damage on the target for 25 seconds and stacks up to three times, so repeated broadsides against the same hull compound into a much steeper damage curve than raw DPS would suggest. The Epic tier adds a flat 15% reload-speed bonus, which keeps the Raked stacks from expiring between volleys.
