Recognizable by its jet-black feathers, this dark-plumaged bird serves the same function as any chicken on the farm: pest control and egg production. Appearance
The Ink Chicken is covered in deep, jet-black feathers from head to tail. The dark coloring gives it a sleek, almost ink-washed look that stands out against the lighter tones of the common Chicken and the spotted pattern of the Pearl Chicken. In the coop, the Ink Chicken is easy to identify at a glance.
Pest Control
Ink Chickens help clear bugs from farmland, eating up to 5 bugs per day. This matches the rate of the common Chicken and Pearl Chicken. For comparison, the Super Rare Golden Chicken can clear up to 15 bugs per day, three times the standard rate.
Place the Chicken Coop close to the farm plots you want protected. Chickens work automatically as long as they are fed and happy.
Products
Ink Chicken produces Eggs, Feathers, Chicken Claws, and Poop (fertilizer). All chicken variants produce identical products. Happy chickens (high happiness level) can also produce Giant Eggs, which are a premium byproduct worth more in cooking and selling.
How to Obtain
Ink Chicken is obtained through breeding. Pair a male and female chicken in the same coop or in a Selective Breeding House with an empty slot. As a Rare variant, it has a moderate chance of appearing as offspring from common chicken parents.

Chickens unlock at the Junior Rancher rank, so you can start breeding for Ink Chicken relatively early.
Stack multiple chickens near your crop fields for effective pest control. Five chickens clear up to 25 bugs per day.
If you want maximum bug-clearing power, breed toward the Golden Chicken (Super Rare), which triples the pest control rate.
Keep chicken happiness high to unlock Giant Egg production. Feed them regularly and ensure their coop is clean.
