Game World Context

Illica will inhabit the city of Hethereau, the sprawling modern metropolis that serves as the open-world setting for Neverness to Everness. Hethereau is a thoroughly urban environment with highways, convenience stores, residential neighborhoods, and neon-lit commercial districts, but beneath this everyday exterior the city is plagued by supernatural disturbances known as Anomalies. The player takes on the role of an Appraiser who investigates these phenomena alongside a rotating cast of companions, each possessing their own Esper powers.

Key organizations operating within Hethereau include the Bureau of Anomaly Control (the government body responsible for managing Anomalies and Espers), the Eibon Antique Shop (a small business in the Bridge District that doubles as an anomaly hunter crew), and the Camellia Society. Illica's affiliation with any of these groups has not yet been revealed.

Arcs and Weapon Types

Espers fight using Arcs, the weapon system in Neverness to Everness. Different Arcs provide different attack patterns, stats, and passive effects. Some Espers favor specific Arc types that complement their combat style. Known weapon categories include swords, hammers, claws, canes, dual blades, and ranged weapons.
