Overview
Camellia Society is an S-Class Arc in Neverness to Everness. It is a crit-focused Arc designed for DPS characters who can sustain high critical hit rates. The core mechanic revolves around gaining stacking CRT DMG bonuses when the wielder's HP is reduced without taking damage from enemies, meaning self-inflicted HP loss (such as from abilities that cost HP) is the primary trigger. At maximum level and full stacks, Camellia Society provides an enormous 128% CRT DMG bonus, making it one of the highest damage-ceiling Arcs in the game.
In addition to its powerful passive stacking mechanic, Camellia Society includes an active Arc Ability called Silent Garden. This ability costs 5% of the wielder's current HP to activate and triggers a random powerful attack on a 25-second cooldown. The self-damage from Silent Garden also contributes to building CRT DMG stacks, creating a self-reinforcing loop between the passive and active components of the Arc.
Lore
"Though I'm not supposed to let my composure slip onto the petals... that flower really cut deep."
The flavor text of Camellia Society speaks to the hidden pain beneath a composed exterior. In the language of flowers, camellias symbolize admiration and devotion, but their petals fall whole rather than wilting, an abrupt departure that catches onlookers off guard. The Arc's mechanic mirrors this theme: the wielder sacrifices their own vitality (HP) to gain power (CRT DMG), turning internal loss into external strength. The Silent Garden ability literalizes this concept, spending life force to unleash a devastating strike.
Passive Effect
Camellia Society provides stacking CRT DMG bonuses. Stacks are gained each time the wielder's HP is reduced without the reduction being caused by enemy damage. This means self-inflicted HP loss, whether from abilities, Arc Abilities, or other mechanics that drain the wielder's own health, counts as a trigger. Each stack lasts 5 seconds and refreshes independently.
The number of stacks is capped at 4 regardless of Arc level. What scales with level is the CRT DMG bonus per stack, which increases significantly from L1 to L5.
Level | CRT DMG Per Stack | Max Stacks | Max CRT DMG |
|---|---|---|---|
L1 | +16% | 4 | +64% |
L2 | +20% | 4 | +80% |
L3 | +24% | 4 | +96% |
L4 | +28% | 4 | +112% |
L5 | +32% | 4 | +128% |
At L5 with all four stacks active, Camellia Society provides a massive 128% CRT DMG bonus. This is the highest single-source CRT DMG buff available from any Arc in the game, making it the go-to choice for crit-oriented builds that can reliably trigger and maintain stacks.
Arc Ability: Silent Garden
Silent Garden is the active Arc Ability of Camellia Society. When activated, it costs 5% of the wielder's current HP and triggers a random powerful attack. The ability has a 25-second cooldown.
The HP cost of Silent Garden serves a dual purpose. First, it deals damage to a nearby enemy through the random attack. Second, because the HP loss is self-inflicted, it counts as a trigger for the CRT DMG stacking passive. This means activating Silent Garden both deals damage and builds stacks simultaneously.
The "random" nature of the attack means that each activation of Silent Garden produces a different effect. While the exact pool of possible attacks has not been fully documented, the damage output is consistent enough to be a meaningful source of burst damage, particularly when combined with the high CRT DMG stacks the wielder will likely have active at the time of use.
Because the HP cost is a percentage of current HP (not maximum HP), the actual amount lost decreases as the wielder takes damage. At lower HP, the cost becomes trivially small, though maintaining low HP comes with obvious survivability risks.
Recommended Characters
Camellia Society is best suited for DPS characters with high crit rates. Characters who have self-damage mechanics or HP drain abilities synergize particularly well, as they naturally trigger the CRT DMG stacking passive.
Characters with built-in HP drain abilities can maintain full stacks with minimal effort, since their normal rotation already involves self-inflicted HP loss.
Characters with high base crit rate or crit rate scaling benefit most from the CRT DMG bonus, as CRT DMG only matters when critical hits actually land.
Pair Camellia Society with KongMu Gear sets that provide crit rate bonuses to ensure a balanced crit rate to CRT DMG ratio.
Avoid equipping Camellia Society on characters who rarely crit or who have no way to self-inflict HP loss. Without a reliable stack trigger, the Arc's passive is difficult to maintain, and the 5-second stack duration means stacks will frequently expire between triggers.
How to Obtain
Camellia Society can be purchased from the Arc Shop for 25 Tri-Keys. Like all S-Class Arcs in Neverness to Everness, it is not obtained through gacha banners. Tri-Key is earned through gameplay activities such as story progression, Anomaly Commissions, and events.
Since all S-Class Arcs cost the same 25 Tri-Keys, players should evaluate whether Camellia Society's crit-stacking mechanic fits their team better than alternatives like Youthful Fantasy (for Chaos teams) or Contemplative Cat (for raw ATK stacking).
Strategy and Tips
Maintain stacks constantly. Each CRT DMG stack lasts only 5 seconds. If the wielder has no way to self-inflict HP loss regularly, stacks will drop off quickly. Characters with HP drain abilities on short cooldowns are ideal for keeping stacks active.
Use Silent Garden as a stack refresher. Even when the random attack damage is not needed, activating Silent Garden refreshes your stacks because the 5% HP cost counts as self-inflicted HP loss. Use it on cooldown to maintain maximum CRT DMG uptime.
Balance crit rate and CRT DMG. Camellia Society provides an enormous amount of CRT DMG, but this bonus is wasted if the wielder's crit rate is too low. Aim for at least 60-70% crit rate from other sources (character stats, KongMu Gear, Console Equipment) before investing heavily in Camellia Society.
Watch your HP. The self-damage from both the passive trigger and Silent Garden can leave the wielder vulnerable. Pair with a healer or shielder on the team to avoid getting knocked out during sustained DPS windows.
L5 is a massive power spike. The jump from 64% max CRT DMG at L1 to 128% at L5 is enormous. If Camellia Society is your primary Arc, prioritize upgrading it to L5 as early as possible for the biggest damage increase.
