Linko

Linko is a limited S-Class Anima Esper in Neverness to Everness, playable since September 9, 2026, when the Version 1.3 Phase 2 update opened her "Surfing All Channels!" Limited Board. She is a member of ETD-6 in the Bureau of Anomaly Control and fights alongside her Anomaly companion Xiaozhen, who lives inside a portable TV and handles search and tracking for her. Her Esper Ability is Telepathy, which lets her sense the frequency of people and Anomalies alike; her in-game profile describes an absent-minded, jump-first agent who always seems to end up in the right place, and who has been seen telling a fire hydrant "I've picked up your frequency." Her signature Arc is the Plasma-type Voice of the Voyager.

Linko was one of the earliest characters shown in pre-release footage, alongside Nitsa, Elyms and Iroi, a group the community called the "trailer four", and she reappeared in the Co-Ex Test promotional trailer in early 2026. The official channel published a Combat Showcase on September 4, 2026, then a First Impressions short, a Containment Rehearsal segment and a Character PV titled "Universal Frequencies" in the days before her board opened.

Profile

Trailer Appearances

Linko first appeared in pre-release footage alongside three other unrevealed characters. Linko, Nitsa, Elyms, and Iroi were spotted together in that early footage as a group whose classes and rarities had not yet been confirmed. These four are often discussed together by the community as the "trailer four" awaiting full reveals.

Linko's design was later shown again in the Co-Ex Test promotional trailer, which ran during the second closed beta from February 6 to 20, 2026. The Co-Ex Test trailer teased a wide range of new characters including Chiz, Shinku, EXE, Chaos, and others. However, it remained unconfirmed which of these characters would be fully playable during the test period. Linko's reappearance in the Co-Ex Test trailer confirmed that the character remains in active development.

Factions and Organizations

Espers in Hethereau are associated with various organizations. The two most prominent are the Bureau of Anomaly Control, a government agency that manages anomaly threats through dedicated Esper Task Departments (ETDs), and the Eibon Antique Shop, a private organization operating out of Bridge Crossing. Other factions include the Coluccis Family, Sterry Express (a delivery service with Esper employees), and the secretive organization known as The Circle. Linko serves in the Bureau's ETD-6.

Combat and Traversal

Every Esper in Neverness to Everness fights using Arcs as their primary weapons. Arcs come in various forms including blades, hammers, claws, canes, and ranged weapons. Each Esper also possesses a unique traversal ability used for navigating the open city of Hethereau. Examples of existing traversal abilities include Nanally's anti-gravity wall running, Mint's tornado flight, Skia's shadow dash through walls, and Hathor's high-speed blade wing gliding.

Linko's kit is built around calling in other characters. Her Basic Attack, Poltergeist CQC, is a five-hit Anima combo that builds Modulation points; holding the button triggers Spectral Smack, a two-palm strike, and pressing it in the air performs Spectral Entrance, a plunge whose damage rises with fall height by up to 100%. While she is off-field, Spectral Rush sends Xiaozhen to ambush the target every 8 seconds and leave a "Hit 'Em Here!" mark. Her Redirect Skill, Full-Frequency Pulse, deals up to four instances of Anima damage, then opens a selection wheel (briefly pausing the battle timer) to pick Xiaozhen or an ally for a Synced Strike; the strike gains a damage bonus and consumes all accumulated Modulation for a further bonus, and Xiaozhen fills any wheel slot whose ally cannot act or is not on the team. Her Ultimate, Oversync, creates a Resonance Field, and her Chain Skill is Spectral Cross. Skill multipliers have not been published in a first-party note.

Esper System Context

As an Anima Esper, Linko sits next to Cosmos and Incantation on the Esper Cycle, so those pairings open her duo reactions: Blossom with Cosmos partners and Hexed with Incantation partners. Players build teams of up to four characters and swap between them in real-time combat to trigger these reaction combinations, and Linko's Synced Strikes give her a second way to bring an ally's element onto the field without a manual swap.

Her Console has 20 slots with a Type III specialization that adds 8% CRIT Rate per Type III Module equipped. Her Level 80 base line is 15,258 HP, 611 ATK and 906 DEF, in line with the other S-Class Espers on the Characters (Espers) Guide. Ascension follows the standard S-Class track, starting at Fons x25,000 and Lost Whispers x5 for Phase 1.

Release and Availability

Linko debuted on September 9, 2026 as the featured character of the "Surfing All Channels!" Limited Board, which runs until September 30, 2026 at 05:59 (UTC+8) with Haniel, Aurelia and Skia as the A-Class rate-ups. The board notice states that she is available only from this board, with no other route planned at this time. It rolls with Solid Dice or Sync Dice, shares the S-Class pity counter with every other Limited Board (Modified rate-up after 70 rolls without her, guaranteed on the 90th), and its Sync Perks track pays the "Super Specter" glider livery, the "Turbo Linko" livery set for the Yesteryear bike and her "Surfing Among Stars" outfit at 50, 120 and 200 cumulative rolls. Her Arc Voice of the Voyager comes from the parallel "Soundscape Special" program.

The same update shipped a full Bond package for her: Bond quests, text message conversations, a combat tutorial, Bond interactions that unlock her passenger seat ride-along at the required Bond Level, a new City Hangouts story and a "Home Time" Invitation mode. Her English voice is credited to Emi Lo, with Salli Saffioti voicing Xiaozhen; the Japanese pair is Yui Ogura and Ayumu Murase.

Confirmation Status

The table below separates what the first-party update notes state from what comes only from in-game data. Everything in the profile above is either in the September 8 and September 9, 2026 official notices or in the in-game character screen.

Name

The official channel spells the name Linko. Before that spelling appeared in September 2026 the community rendering "Lingko" was sometimes linked by fans to the Ginkgo tree (Ginkgo biloba), a "living fossil" species associated with longevity and autumn colour. That reading was never confirmed and the official romanization settles the matter; this article kept "lingko" as an alias so older links still resolve.

Pulling for Linko

Neverness to Everness uses a board-style summoning system where players spend dice to move around a track and collect rewards. The key facts for planning a pull on "Surfing All Channels!" before it closes on September 30, 2026:

• The board starts in Baseline; if Linko has not dropped within 70 consecutive rolls it upgrades to Modified (rate up), and if she still has not appeared after 89 rolls the 90th roll grants her automatically.

• There is no 50/50: every featured S-Class drop on the board is Linko, and the pity counter is shared with the parallel Hotori rerun and with every earlier Limited Board.

• Sync Perks progress is specific to this board and does not carry to other boards, so the cosmetics have to be earned within the window.

• Dice, free pulls and event rewards from Runaway Echoes, Breezy Tour, Shipwreck Salvage and the Circle Gifts login event all feed the same pull budget.

Because the notice says no other acquisition route is planned, players who want Linko should treat the September 30 close as a hard deadline; the next opportunity would be a rerun, which the game has so far scheduled roughly four months after a debut.

Roster Context

Linko was not part of the Version 1.0 launch roster. The April 29, 2026 global launch shipped with 15 playable characters, 9 S-Class and 6 A-Class, listed below for reference; Hotori followed on the Phase 2 board on May 13, and Lacrimosa, Chaos, Shinku, Iroi and Zankou arrived across Versions 1.1 to 1.3 before Linko made her the sixteenth S-Class Esper on September 9, 2026.

Xiaozhen Partner and ETD-6 Affiliation

Trailer footage and now the released kit show Linko consistently appearing alongside Xiaozhen, her Anomaly companion. Xiaozhen is not a separate roster entry: she rides along inside a portable TV, ambushes targets through Spectral Rush while Linko is off-field, and is the default pick on the Full-Frequency Pulse selection wheel, which makes the pair the first two-in-one combat unit in the roster.

Linko has been associated with Bureau of Anomaly Control ETD-6 (Emergency Task Division 6) in pre-release footage. The Bureau's emergency task divisions are organized as numbered squads each handling a specific anomaly speciality. Skia operates under Emergency Task Division 4 and Mint belongs to Containment Strike Unit 2 (CSU-2), while Linko's ETD-6 affiliation places her in a different operational unit.

Version 1.4 Fixes

Version 1.4 improved controller support for Linko's Life Skill and corrected target loss on Basic Attack: Spectral Rush, Synced Strike damage calculation and model clipping during the Hug interaction. It also fixed a Morning Spell interaction when a Redirect Skill casts Ultimate: Oversync and an incorrect Zankou Ultimate cooldown display after Oversync.
