Overview
Unheard Shores is one of the four mainland districts of Hethereau in Neverness to Everness. Officially described as "the ultimate getaway for locals in the know," the district is a coastal area that offers an escape from the city grind through mountain camping, the sea train, and the Orichalcos Imaginist concert venue where chart-topping stars perform. Its azure coastal scenery and laid-back atmosphere set it apart from the commercial and financial character of Hethereau's other districts.
Unheard Shores is one of the two original districts available since the game's first closed beta test (CBT1), alongside Bridge Crossing. It has remained explorable throughout every subsequent testing phase and into the full launch.

Key Landmarks
Orichalcos Imaginist
The Orichalcos Imaginist is a concert venue nestled within Unheard Shores where chart-topping stars light up the stage with epic concerts. The venue is the district's most prominent entertainment attraction, drawing crowds from across Hethereau for live performances. Its name references orichalcum, a legendary metal from ancient myth, lending the venue a sense of grandeur and mystique.
The Orichalcos Imaginist represents Unheard Shores' identity as an entertainment destination. While Miguel District attracts visitors with natural scenery and the Hethereau Skytower, Unheard Shores draws them with live music and performance culture. The venue's presence gives the district a vibrant nightlife and cultural scene that complements its natural coastal setting.
Sea Train
The sea train is a transportation feature that runs through or along the coast of Unheard Shores. Players can hop aboard the sea train with its whistle blaring and seagulls soaring overhead, experiencing the coastal landscape from a unique vantage point. The sea train connects to NTE's broader public transportation network, which includes the Ghost Train system, buses, and other transit options across Hethereau.
The sea train is both a practical transport option and an atmospheric experience. Riding it through the coastal scenery provides a guided tour of Unheard Shores' azure waterfront, making it one of the more scenic transit routes in the game.
Mountain Camping Areas
Unheard Shores includes rugged mountain terrain where players can pitch tents and engage with outdoor camping activities. These mountain areas provide a vertical counterpoint to the district's coastal flatlands, creating varied terrain that rewards exploration on foot, by vehicle, or by glider. The combination of coastal beaches and mountain highlands within a single district gives Unheard Shores the most diverse natural geography of any Hethereau district.
Coastal Identity
Unheard Shores is defined by its "one-of-a-kind azure allure", a coastal identity built around ocean views, waterfront areas, and maritime atmosphere. The district is described as a "coastal gem," positioning it as Hethereau's connection to the sea. Where Miguel District offers inland parks and lakes, Unheard Shores delivers saltwater coastline and open ocean vistas.
This coastal setting also provides unique gameplay opportunities. Sea-facing areas and beaches create distinct exploration zones not found in the more urban districts, and the proximity to water introduces environmental variety for combat encounters and anomaly events. Anomalies can appear anywhere in Hethereau, and the coastal terrain of Unheard Shores creates encounters where the ocean backdrop and maritime environment shape the battlefield.
Character and Atmosphere
Each of Hethereau's four districts has a distinct personality. Unheard Shores fills the role of the relaxation and entertainment district:
District | Character |
|---|---|
Historic Old Town with a budget-friendly vibe, rustic charm, and independent shops in hidden lanes. | |
Tourist paradise with the largest natural scenic belt and the iconic Hethereau Skytower. | |
Corporate financial hub with skyscrapers and the fiercest anomaly hunter market. | |
Unheard Shores | Coastal getaway with the Orichalcos Imaginist, mountain camping, and the sea train. |
Unheard Shores functions as the place Hethereau's residents go to escape the daily grind. Where New Herland represents ambition and competition, Unheard Shores represents leisure and self-expression. The Orichalcos Imaginist's concert culture and the district's outdoor activities create an atmosphere that values fun and freedom over productivity and power.
Activities
Unheard Shores offers several activities tied to its coastal and entertainment identity:
Activity | Description |
|---|---|
Concerts | Attend live performances at the Orichalcos Imaginist featuring in-game musical acts |
Mountain Camping | Pitch tents in the rugged highlands for outdoor exploration and environmental activities |
Sea Train Rides | Travel along the coast aboard the scenic sea train |
CoastalExploration | Explore beaches, waterfront areas, and ocean-facing terrain |
Anomaly Encounters | Confront anomalies that appear throughout the district's varied terrain |
Like all districts, Unheard Shores features NPC routines that follow the day-night cycle, a dynamic weather system, and seamless connectivity to the rest of Hethereau with no loading screens between areas.
Development History
Unheard Shores was included in the game's first closed beta test (CBT1), making it one of the earliest areas players could explore in Hethereau alongside Bridge Crossing. These two districts formed the original playable map before the city was expanded.
When the Containment Test (July 2 to 16, 2025) launched, Hethereau's explorable area grew to approximately 1.5 times its original size with the addition of Miguel District and New Herland District. Unheard Shores remained available throughout this and all subsequent testing phases, including the Co-Ex Test (February 6 to 20, 2026), through to the April 29, 2026 global launch.
As one of the two original districts, Unheard Shores has been played by the widest pool of beta testers and has received the most iterative polish over the game's development cycle.
