Overview
Neverness to Everness fills Hethereau with dozens of optional activities beyond the main story and Anomaly hunting. These range from full mini-games with their own progression to quick diversions scattered across the city. The activities feed into the game's daily life simulation layer, earning currency, materials, and sometimes unique rewards.
Taxi driving
Players can earn money by working as a taxi driver, picking up NPCs around Hethereau and delivering them to their destinations. The driving uses the game's full vehicle system with third-person and optional first-person camera modes. Weather conditions affect handling during taxi runs. Reckless driving risks activating the wanted system, so balancing speed with safety matters.

See Wanted System for what happens if a delivery goes wrong.
Fishing
A fishing mini-game is available at various waterfront locations around the city. Caught fish can be sold or used in other systems.
Mahjong
Hethereau has mahjong tables where players can sit down for a game. This is a fully playable mahjong implementation, not a simplified version. During the Co-Ex Test, mahjong was online matchmaking only with no single-player AI mode. The Game8 review noted this as a shortcoming, so a single-player option may be added before launch.
Racing
Street racing events use the game's vehicle system. Cars are customizable with parts that affect handling, and decals and color options let players personalize their rides. The realistic damage system means crashes during races require repairs. See Exploration & Traversal for more on the vehicle system.
Rhythm game: Super Sound
A rhythm game called Super Sound was added in the Co-Ex Test. Players hit notes in time with music. This is separate from the main combat and provides its own rewards. Details on song count and difficulty levels are still emerging.
Claw machines
Arcade-style claw machines are placed around Hethereau. Players spend in-game currency to try grabbing prizes, which include collectibles and minor items. These machines have a reputation for being difficult. One beta tester reported spending over 50,000 coins without winning.

Detective quests
Anomaly investigation quests function like detective cases. Players examine clues, interview NPCs, and piece together what happened. These quests tie into the game's Anomaly lore and often involve unique narrative scenarios that differ from standard combat encounters.
Delivery missions
Beyond taxi work, players can take on package delivery missions. These use the traversal system, including wall-running and Esper abilities for movement, to reach delivery points within time limits. Characters like Hathor from Sterry Express connect thematically to this activity.
Coffee shop
Players can run a coffee shop as part of the housing and business management system. This involves managing inventory, setting prices, and serving customers. Adler's "Coffee Master" life skill directly affects coffee shop operations, providing pricing bonuses.
Other activities
Multiplayer Tetris A competitive puzzle mode where players face off in Tetris-style gameplay.
Photography A drone flying mechanic allows bird's-eye-view photography across Hethereau.
Property management Buy, decorate, and manage properties for revenue. See Housing.
Shop management Run a shop at the Eibon Antique Shop or your own property. Character Life Skills affect pricing and customer interactions.
Barista work Work as a barista for income, part of the gig economy alongside taxi driving.
