Welcome to Neverness to Everness! This guide will help new players understand the basics of the game and get started on their journey as an Appraiser in Hethereau.
Your Role
You play as Zero, the first unlicensed Anomaly Hunter in Hethereau. You join the Eibon antique shop, which takes on Anomaly commissions from the public. Alongside your diverse partners, you'll explore urban mysteries and uncover the truth behind the supernatural events plaguing the city.
Combat Basics
Build a team of four characters to take into combat. Chain normal attacks, skills, and ultimates while swapping characters mid-combo for maximum damage.
Learn the Esper Cycle system - the game features six attributes (Light, Zero, Curse, Dark, Soul, Image). When you combine two adjacent attributes through combat, you trigger powerful synergy reactions.
Build your Cycle Rate through combat actions to unleash devastating attacks. Watch for the stagger bar on enemies - filling it creates vulnerability windows for massive damage.
Exploration
Hethereau is a seamless open world. You can run, jump, climb, wall-run, swim, and glide without loading screens. Some characters have unique traversal abilities - for example, Nanally's Anti-Gravity lets you soar over buildings.
Don't forget about vehicles! You can drive cars through the city, customize them with parts affecting handling and appearance, and even race. Use the train network for quick travel.
Life in Hethereau
Beyond Anomaly hunting, enjoy the city's life simulation features. Buy a home (apartments to mansions) and design it. Fish, play Mahjong, work part-time jobs at coffee shops, or run your own businesses.
Be careful though - criminal actions can land you in prison, where you'll experience solitary confinement, outdoor time, and maybe attempt an escape!
Key Characters
You'll work closely with the Eibon team: Hotori (shop owner), Nanally Coluccus (star attraction with electricity powers), Sakiri (with her hammer Kiroumaru), Adler (defensive tank), Edgar (helper), Daffodil (security), and Taygedo (the gentle Oddity restorer).
You'll also interact with Bureau of Anomaly Control members like Mint from CSU-2 and the ETD-4 team (Baicang, Skia, Fadia, Lacrimosa).
Gacha Tips
The Scarborough Fair gacha uses a dice-rolling board mechanic. Good news - there's no 50/50 system! Limited banner S-class characters are always guaranteed to be the featured character when pulled.
