Home Services are professional helpers that you can hire in inZOI to handle household tasks your Zois may not have the time or skill to do themselves. Four service categories are available: Babysitting, Repairs, Cleaning, and Soul Guide. Each one sends a worker to your home to perform a specific job, from watching over toddlers to banishing lingering spirits.
All services are accessed through the Pocket Market app on your Zoi's smartphone and cost Meow (the in-game currency). Once you place an order, the service worker arrives at your home within one in-game hour. You must be home when the worker shows up, since a pop-up prompt requires you to let them in before they can start working.
Hiring a home service takes just a few steps:
Press P to open your Zoi's smartphone.
Select the PocketMarket app from the phone's app menu.
Tap the Home Services tab at the bottom of the PocketMarket screen.
Browse the four categories (Babysitter, Repairs, Cleaning, Soul Guide) and pick the service you want.
Confirm your selection and pay the listed price in Meow.
Wait for the worker to arrive (within one in-game hour). When they show up, click on them at the door and select Greet Visitor to let them inside.
After you greet the worker, they will let themselves into your home and begin their tasks automatically. You do not need to supervise them. There are very few restrictions on how often you can hire services, so you can call for help as frequently as your budget allows.
The table below lists every service option, its cost, and a brief description of what the worker does once they arrive.
Service | Category | Cost (Meow) | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
2-Hour Babysitting | Babysitter | 100 | Provides 2 hours of care for any toddler Zois in the household |
24-Hour Babysitting | Babysitter | 500 | Provides 24 hours of care for any toddler Zois in the household |
One-Time Repair Service | Repairs | 100 | Handyman arrives and repairs all broken furniture and appliances |
Spick-and-Span Cleaning | Cleaning | 100 | Cleaner arrives and performs 5 cleaning actions |
Good-as-New Cleaning | Cleaning | 500 | Cleaner arrives and performs 15 cleaning actions |
Soul Guide Service | Soul Guide | 3,000 | Exorcist arrives and can commune with or remove lingering spirits |
Babysitting is designed for households with toddlers. If your household does not currently have any toddler-age Zois, the babysitting option will not appear in the Pocket Market listings.
Once a babysitter arrives, they respond to your toddler's needs automatically. This includes feeding, changing diapers, and keeping the child entertained. A babysitter is especially useful when both parents in a household need to leave for work or errands at the same time, since leaving a toddler unattended for too long can attract the attention of the Child Protection Agency, which may remove the child from the household due to neglect.
The 2-Hour Babysitting option at 100 Meow is suitable for short absences, such as a quick grocery run or a brief work shift. The 24-Hour Babysitting option at 500 Meow covers an entire day and is the better choice when both parents work full-time jobs or when you plan to be away from the home for an extended period. For more information on raising young Zois, see the Nanny and Childcare article.
Appliances and furniture in inZOI break down over time through regular use. Items like washing machines, computers, stoves, and televisions are all susceptible to wear and eventual failure. When an object breaks, your Zoi can attempt a manual repair by clicking on the item and selecting the Repair interaction, but the success of manual repairs depends on your Zoi's Housework skill level. A failed repair wastes time and leaves the item still broken.
The professional repair service eliminates this uncertainty. For 100 Meow, a handyman arrives and guarantees a successful repair on every broken item in the home, regardless of how many things need fixing. This makes the repair service a practical choice for Zois with low Handiwork skill or for households where multiple items have broken down at once.
Keep in mind that manual repairs do build your Zoi's Housework skill over time. If you want your Zoi to improve at fixing things, it is better to attempt repairs yourself when the item is not urgently needed. Save the professional service for situations where you need everything working again immediately or when a critical appliance (like a stove or computer required for work) breaks at an inconvenient moment.
A dirty home lowers your Zoi's mood and can eventually make them feel uncomfortable or even sick. While Zois can clean their own homes using a broom, mop, or vacuum, hiring a professional cleaner saves considerable time.
Two cleaning tiers are available. The Spick-and-Span Cleaning option costs 100 Meow and has the cleaner perform 5 cleaning actions before leaving. The Good-as-New Cleaning option costs 500 Meow and performs 15 cleaning actions. Each cleaning action covers a specific dirty spot or surface in the home. The cleaner handles floors, countertops, and other surfaces, and also tidies up by putting away misplaced items, throwing out trash, and dealing with dirty dishes.
Cleaning services are one-time hires. There is no recurring subscription option, so you will need to open the Pocket Market and place a new order each time you want your home cleaned. For a moderately messy home, the 100 Meow tier is usually sufficient. Reserve the 500 Meow tier for homes that have been neglected for a long time or larger properties with many rooms. For more tips on keeping your home tidy, see the Cleanliness article.
The Soul Guide is the most expensive and most specialized of the four service categories. When a Zoi dies, their soul may linger in the world rather than passing on. These lingering souls are tracked through the Soul Management Report, which you can access by opening the City Map and switching to the Souls tab. If a deceased Zoi's spirit is haunting your world, the Soul Guide service gives you a way to interact with it.
For 3,000 Meow, an exorcist arrives at your home equipped with an enchanted bell. The Soul Guide can perform two functions:
Summon a spirit: The exorcist can call forth the ghost of a specific deceased Zoi so that your living Zoi can meet and interact with them one more time.
Put a soul to rest: The exorcist can permanently remove a lingering spirit, sending it to the afterlife and clearing it from the world.
This service ties into inZOI's Karma and supernatural systems. A Zoi's karma level at the time of death affects whether their soul lingers and how it behaves. The Soul Guide is currently the primary way to deal with ghosts that are present in your world. If you are not experiencing any supernatural disturbances or do not have deceased Zois whose spirits you wish to contact, this service is not necessary.
The following table provides a quick comparison to help you decide which services offer the best value for your situation.
Service | Cost | Best For |
|---|---|---|
2-Hour Babysitting | 100 Meow | Short errands or quick work shifts when a toddler needs supervision |
24-Hour Babysitting | 500 Meow | Full workdays or extended absences from home with a toddler present |
One-Time Repair | 100 Meow | Broken appliances that need immediate fixing, especially if Housework skill is low |
Spick-and-Span Cleaning | 100 Meow | Routine cleaning of moderately messy homes |
Good-as-New Cleaning | 500 Meow | Deep cleaning of severely neglected or large homes |
Soul Guide | 3,000 Meow | Removing lingering ghosts or communing with deceased Zois |
Budget the basics first: The 100 Meow services (babysitting, repair, and basic cleaning) are affordable enough to use regularly. Keep at least a few hundred Meow in reserve for emergencies, since a broken stove or an unattended toddler can spiral into bigger problems quickly.
Be home when the worker arrives: If you are not at the property when the service worker shows up, you will not be able to let them in. Make sure at least one household member is present to answer the door.
Use manual repairs to build skills: The repair service is convenient, but doing repairs yourself levels up your Zoi's Housework skill. Over time, a high Housework skill means fewer failed repair attempts and less need to spend Meow on the professional service.
Stack cleaning with household help: If you have multiple Zois in a household, you can have family members clean alongside the hired cleaner by pressing Space to switch between characters. This clears up messes faster than the hired cleaner alone.
Check for toddlers before hiring a babysitter: The babysitting option only appears when your household has at least one toddler. If it is missing from the menu, your children may have already aged up past the toddler stage.
Save the Soul Guide for when you need it: At 3,000 Meow, the Soul Guide is a significant expense. Only hire one when you have confirmed a lingering soul in the Soul Management Report that you want to interact with or remove.
