Swamp Camp
The Swamp Camp is the third faction in the Valley of Mines, built on the edge of the southern swamps. Its inhabitants call themselves the Brotherhood of the Sleeper, and they are a religious order rather than a mercantile or rebel faction.
The Brotherhood
The Brotherhood follows the Sleeper, an ancient entity that speaks to them through dreams. They believe that fully awakening the Sleeper will destroy the Barrier and free them all. Their hierarchy runs from Novices at the bottom, through Templars, up to the Gurus who lead the camp's rituals.
Leadership
The Brotherhood is led by the guru Y'Berion, who first made contact with the Sleeper and led his followers into the swamp. Lester is a novice who acts as the camp's diplomat at its outer boundary.
Economy
The Swamp Camp is built on swampweed cultivation rather than ore mining. Swampweed is used in the Brotherhood's rituals and is traded to the other camps and to outside contacts through the Barrier.
Joining the Swamp Camp
The Hero joins the Swamp Camp in Chapter 1 by completing the camp's admission quest and meeting Y'Berion. Joining the Swamp Camp opens the path to Templar status in the Brotherhood and to the cult's inner rituals.
