Admission to the Old Camp

Admission to the Old Camp is a Chapter 1 main quest. Diego introduces the route, Thorus controls entry to the castle, and the Shadows judge whether the Hero has earned an audience with Gomez. Acceptance requires level 5, sufficient Shadow support, and completion of Test of Faith.

Earn the recommendations

Ask Thorus how to work for Gomez, then return to Diego to begin Casting Shadows. Complete favors around the outer ring and check the journal for the point at which enough recommendations have been earned. The available tasks include Whistler's Sword, The Vanished Warder, A New Fence for Fisk, A Ring for Fingers, The Cult's Recipe, Out of Sight, and Scatty's unmarked Arena challenge.

Complete Test of Faith

Diego sends the Hero to Ian in the Old Mine for the List of Requirements of the Old Mine. Use the countersign about the hungry crawlers. Graham sells an Old Mine map for 20 ore nuggets near the north gate; threatening him also obtains it.

Take the list to Lares before returning it to Diego if the New Camp route should remain available. This unlocks Something the Matter? and preserves access to The Raid. Returning the altered list still completes Diego's task. Delivering it directly to Diego closes that branch.

Meet Gomez

At level 5, with Casting Shadows and Test of Faith complete, speak to Thorus for castle access. Raven brings the Hero to Gomez. During the interview, avoid claiming a connection to Y'Berion: that answer makes Gomez kill the Hero. Save before the interview.

Acceptance grants 1,000 XP and the Shadow's Dress. Speak to Raven afterward for The Brotherhood's Plan. Formal admission fails the rival camp admission quests and associated tasks, so finish those tasks before committing. See Missables and Points of No Return for other save points.
