Test of Faith is Diego's Chapter 1 supply-list task during Admission to the Old Camp. It opens after you earn enough Shadow support in Casting Shadows. The hand-in order also determines whether the New Camp admission route remains available.
Unlock the task
Complete at least three approval tasks for Casting Shadows, then ask Diego whether you are ready for his test. Check your standing with him if the option has not appeared. Once he agrees, he sends you to Ian at the Old Mine northwest of the Old Camp.
Get the list from Ian
Before leaving, Graham can provide a map to the Old Mine. Inside the mine, descend to Ian's working area near Alberto. Use the countersign "The crawlers look mighty hungry" to receive the List of Requirements of the Old Mine.
Choose the hand-in order
Route | Result |
|---|---|
Give the list directly to Diego | Completes Test of Faith and awards 750 XP in total for this route. The New Camp supply-list branch closes. |
Lares alters the list. This completes Something the Matter?, earns his trust and keeps The Raid available. The combined route awards 1,750 XP. |
Choose the Lares-first route if you still want the option of joining the New Camp. Returning the altered list to Diego still satisfies his task and preserves the Old Camp route. Once the list has been handed directly to Diego, use an earlier save if you want that New Camp branch back.
Continue Old Camp admission
Return to Diego with the supply list and finish the remaining admission requirements. Castle access still depends on sufficient Shadow support and level 5; completing this errand alone does not admit you to the camp.
