Paralogues

Initial version (2026-09-23)
Paralogues are optional side battles in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. There are nine, and all of them sit in Part 1, the Heroic Games campaigns; Part 2 and Part 3 have none. Each is tied to a character: one for each of the eight Flame Lords (Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, Leda, Bertrand, Talimun, Anatolia and Orchel) plus Anna. Every paralogue has a title of its own, and the game also refers to it by its character, so Diversionary Tactics also appears as Leda's Paralogue.
Which paralogues appear depends on the Part 1 route being played, and no single route reaches all nine.
No Hero can take on their own paralogue.
They open from Chapter 9 on Dietrich's route and from Chapter 10 on the other three.
Each is limited to set days on the in-game Dagdan Calendar, and the window differs from route to route.
Every paralogue pays 20,000 gold and 150 Renown, plus an item.
Paralogues are the content most likely to be skipped by accident, but nothing is lost for good: completed routes can be replayed chapter by chapter, as described on Routes.
The list runs in roughly the order the paralogues become available.
Paralogue | Character | Given By | Reward Item | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Diversionary Tactics | Leda in Temple Row | Silver Shield | The battle itself takes place on 9/8. The simplest paralogue: clear the enemies while breaking obstacles, and watch for poison. | |
Missing Brave-Warrior Statue | Bonaventure in Temple Row | Pilum | A fog-of-war map with three mechanisms, in the southeast, southwest and northwest, that must be stood on. | |
Friendly Match with Brigid's King | Gabriel in Arena Square | Extra Large Bullion | A race against Peppe's group to defeat four giants. Bait stops the other group from damaging a giant for a turn, and both sides can use it. | |
Secret of the Vanished Carriage | Talimun near the Port | Cleansing Blade | Giant birds and thieves attack each other and your team. A thief that grabs cargo heads straight for the exit at the top of the map. | |
Golden Secret | Anna at Dagsion Summit | Orichalcum | A small party only. Solel faces the giant after a few turns, and breaking the last ore deposit lowers the giant's armor and stuns it for a turn. | |
Queen of the Erased | Anatolia in the City Streets | Electron Agitator | Villagers must be led to the exit; saving all of them adds a Spellshard and Dew of Peace. The large boss in the center does not have to be beaten, though defeating it ends the battle at once. | |
Great Escape | Cai in the City Streets | Gem Box | Takes place on 10/22 in Dagsion. The enemies must be stopped before they reach their destination, and Centurio is among them. | |
Sealed-Off Past | Fabio near the Arena | Salamander (two) | A ten-turn defense map, with Pegasus Knights coming in from the east. | |
Orchel's Regret | Orchel in Lower Temple Row | Healing Staff | The largest paralogue map. Hitting two switches at the same time fires an Onager at the boss and the units around him; Pegasus Knights reinforce the east side. |
Dates are in-game month and day. A deadline is shown where it falls later than the last day the paralogue can be picked up.

Dietrich's route reaches eight of the nine, every one except his own. Theodora's route reaches seven, and Cai's and Leda's four each. Theodora's own paralogue can only be played on Dietrich's route, and Dietrich gets a single day, 9/17, for Bertrand's paralogue, the tightest window in the game. On Theodora's route the quest page lists later deadlines for Sealed-Off Past and Orchel's Regret, but her Chapter 12 ends on 10/24, which is the real cutoff.
Some characters can only be recruited once a particular paralogue has been cleared on the route where they are being recruited. These sit alongside the usual support, Renown and other requirements covered on Recruitment.
Character | Paralogue Required | Routes Where It Applies |
|---|---|---|
Great Escape (Cai) | Dietrich, Theodora and Leda, along with 3,000 gold | |
Friendly Match with Brigid's King (Bertrand) | Dietrich | |
Friendly Match with Brigid's King (Bertrand) | Cai, Dietrich and Theodora | |
Sealed-Off Past (Dietrich) | Leda | |
Orchel's Regret (Orchel) | All four | |
Secret of the Vanished Carriage (Talimun) | Cai, Dietrich and Theodora | |
Diversionary Tactics (Leda) | Dietrich and Theodora | |
Queen of the Erased (Anatolia) | Dietrich and Leda |
Paralogues also decide who can fight at the end. A Hero whose paralogue has been cleared but whose own Part 1 route has not been finished joins Part 3 in a limited capacity: available in battle, but not for story scenes or supports. For example, finishing Dietrich's route and clearing Theodora's paralogue on it, without finishing Theodora's own route, makes Theodora a limited ally in Part 3. Once all four Part 1 routes are complete, no one is limited. See Story and Plot Structure.
Paralogue windows sit on the same in-game calendar as the rest of Free Time, so they compete with training, quests and exploration for Turns; see Between-Match Preparation. The four Heroes whose routes decide which paralogues appear are covered on Routes.
