Leda, also known as Leilidahna, is one of the four Heroes of Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave and the lead of the Eagle route. Nintendo introduces her as a young woman born into prestige and blessed with musical talent, consumed by rage following her father's murder at the hands of an unknown assailant. Having given everything to seek revenge, she learns of the killer's plan to enter the Heroic Games and heads to Dagsion with supportive companions in tow.

She is a vihuela player carrying the title Rose of Caelus, and she can summon Demonic Beasts with her songs. Her route runs five years before the collapse that opens the game, and Eshmel can travel back into it; see Routes.

Profile

Story

Leda grows up in comfort and is trained as a musician. Her father holds office in Dagsion before being appointed to govern Cydonia in Arago, and the family moves there. Five years before the Games, Cydonia is ravaged and her father is killed. She escapes the burning city with Buccar, the veteran who had served her father for years, carrying almost nothing with her, and takes refuge elsewhere in Arago for a few years.

What brings her out of hiding is the discovery that the killer is still alive and intends to compete in the tournament. Her reaction in the game's own footage is two lines long: "He's... alive! I will kill him." Her stated position elsewhere is colder: "There's a man I hate so much that simply killing him will not satisfy me. For that reason, I refuse to die."

Preview material and in-game dialogue point to Bertrand, the White-Maned Demon and the arena's living legend, as the man she is hunting; the presentation itself never names her father's killer, so the connection is reported rather than confirmed. A second name, Lechner, appears as a further target. Leda is also described as working from a list of names left to her by her late mentor, Mahdel, which makes her revenge a campaign rather than a single killing.

Because her father's death happens five years before the Games, and a preview scene shows it being played, the game's time travel does not appear to be limited to the single five-year jump the Direct describes. That reading comes from preview coverage rather than from published material.

Rose of Caelus

Leda carries the title Rose of Caelus, which she took from Olympia while the two lived at Kalla Temple in Caelus. Preview material describes Olympia challenging her to rematch after rematch and losing every one, and taking a second title, the Azure Rose of Caelus, only once Leda had left the city. Caelus is described as holding an annual Festival of Roses whose winner is crowned Rose of Caelus, though the provenance of that detail is unclear and it should be treated as unconfirmed.

Rose Tempest

Every group entering the Games registers under a clan name. Leda's is Rose Tempest.

Olympia is both an obstacle and a recruit on this route: preview material has her as the boss of Part 1 Chapter 3 and joining in Chapter 4. See Factions for the other clans in the tournament.

Combat and Blaze Art

Leda fights at both ranges and supports from the middle. Preview accounts describe her using a sword up close, a bow at distance, and the vihuela to buff her allies. Class listings give her starting class as Commoner, the shared start that can wield every weapon type, while one places her in the returning Hunter class, which gains swords alongside bows in this entry.

Her Blaze Art is Song of Passion. The Direct covers it as "Leda plays her Vihuela to buff allies, summon a powerful monster, and more", and hands-on accounts split that into two effects: raising the attack of the allies around her, or summoning a Demonic Beast to fight for her. That makes her the only Hero whose Blaze Art can add a unit to the field rather than only affecting the ones already on it.

Her instrument is a named object. Obsidian is a family heirloom passed down many generations, and it was all she escaped Cydonia with. Preview material describes it as cursed, which fits the wider framing of Blaze Arts as powers drawn from cursed artefacts, and combat forecasts show her carrying a Crest that the game gives a second Dagdan name. No Crest effect data has been published for this game, so nothing is written here about what it does.

As with the other Heroes, Blaze Arts are paid for in health rather than from a resource bar. Using them fills a gauge that grants a stat boost as it rises, and filling it entirely triggers a burst that halves the unit's HP for the rest of the battle. Preview accounts note a state called Overblaze observed on Leda when the gauge maxes out. Performing in Dagsion is also described as teaching her further Blaze Arts, though that comes from a single preview account.

On the Eagle Route

Leda's unique command is performance. On the world map she stages Performances that pay out gold and items, build a repertoire of dances that buff in battle, and can surface information about secret spots that are otherwise unreachable. Her battle chatter follows the same register: "My heart dances" when a command lands, "Beautiful!" when an ally finishes an enemy.

Three of her chapter titles have been published: Part 1 Chapter 1, "The Vengeful Dancer"; Chapter 2, "Battle at Coris Mine"; and Chapter 3, "The Rose of Caelus". See List of Chapters. Bertrand recurs as a boss in both this route and Dietrich's, and preview material places Cai as a boss here and Leda as a boss in his. In the game's opening she appears among the risen dead fought as tutorial bosses, in a different class from her playable one.

Notes

Leda's listed likes are memories of her parents, performing the songs of her hometown, gemstones and applause. Leda is an alias; Leilidahna is the full first name, and Olympia, who is younger, addresses her by it.

Route listings give her Part I subtitle as "Leda, Siren of the Six-String", and the advance soundtrack release includes a track titled "Storm of Petals" attached to her; see Soundtrack. The name is pronounced with a long first syllable. Japanese renders it レダ, with レイリダーナ for Leilidahna, Korean 레다 and Traditional Chinese 蕾達.
