Lechner is one of the people Leda intends to kill. He is grouped with the antagonists of Fortune's Weave rather than its playable cast. Before launch almost nothing else about him was announced: no class, no faction of his own, no chapter placement and no official profile, only a line of trailer dialogue, a set of enemy units that carry his name and a few notes from hands-on previews. In the shipped game he is fought twice on Leda's path.

A Name on Leda's List
Leda enters the Heroic Games to reach the man who murdered her father, the viceroy of Cydonia, in front of her. She carries a list of names left to her by her late mentor, and she works through it. Two names from that list have been made public so far: Bertrand and Lechner. Leda says Lechner's name aloud in the June 2026 trailer and states her intention to kill him.
One hands-on account of a later stretch of her story notes that he is still alive when she meets Olympia, so he is not resolved in the opening run of chapters.
Lechner's Soldiers
Enemy units labeled as Lechner's soldiers appear in promotional footage, which puts a fighting force under his name even though, as of September 2026, this wiki has not documented a title or office for him. One account of that footage describes Sirocco facing a Lechner soldier who fights as a Diviner with thunder magic. The banner those units carry shows a hooded figure inside a circle.
Battles on Leda's Path
Leda meets him in battle twice in Part I. The first fight closes Chapter 4, The Indelible Past: it is won by defeating Lechner and lost if Leda falls, the trees on the map help with Avoid, and once he is beaten the party has to flee to the northeast corner. The second closes Chapter 7, Rose of Retribution, in a battle called Taking the Carriage that is again won by defeating him. In that fight Maria periodically summons more enemies; she can be defeated before Lechner, though that only earns extra experience.
What Has Not Been Announced
As of September 2026, Nintendo has published no class and no voice credit for Lechner, and this wiki has not documented a confirmed portrait of him. What he did to end up on Leda's list, and whether he appears on any of the other three routes, have also not been documented here. Anything beyond the points above would be guesswork.
