Overview

Zara is a Vendor in Crimson Desert. A saddler of Varnia. While her horse tack crafting skills are among the best in Varnia, she has a notoriously irritable personality. Despite small holes in tents being a common occurrence caused by desert sand winds, she is exceptionally sensitive to such minor inconveniences.

Notes
As a vendor, this NPC's inventory may change based on story progression or Trust level.
Location
Zara runs the Varnia Saddlery, located near the city's main gate close to the stable. Varnia sits at the northernmost tip of the continent of Pywel, a desert region known for its pilgrims and devotees of Atima.
Shop Inventory
Zara's saddlery stocks 15 items focused on horse tack and mounted equipment. Saddleries sell gear for all five horse equipment slots: saddles, stirrups, champrons (face plates), bardings (body armor), and horseshoes.
Notable items include:
Item | Price (Silver) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Hagmund Barding | 8,500 | Premium horse body armor |
Hagmund Champron | 7,167 | Premium horse face plate |
Hagmund Saddle | 2,340 | High-tier saddle |
The Hagmund tack set is among the higher-tier horse equipment available from saddleries. Horse tack can be dyed at a dyehouse but cannot be upgraded at a blacksmith.
Zara's Request
Zara offers a faction quest as part of the Tales of the Crimson Desert Merchants questline. She mentions that there is a hole in the cloth she uses to cover items and asks the player to collect 5 pieces of cloth. Completing the quest rewards a Medium Bag, which provides additional inventory space.
Trust and Trade Agreements
Like other vendors, building trust with Zara can lower her shop prices and eventually unlock a supply contract. Given the high cost of premium horse tack at her saddlery, maximizing trust with Zara can save players a significant amount of silver.
Tips
Zara's Hagmund tack set is expensive but provides strong stats for horse survivability in combat.
Visit Zara's shop after reaching Varnia to equip your horse for the challenging desert encounters in the Crimson Desert region.
Completing Zara's Request early is recommended for the free inventory expansion.
