Strawberry is a berry crop in Starsand Island, often called the "Queen of Fruit" by islanders. It grows during Spring and Winter, making it one of the few crops that remain profitable in the cold season. Strawberry matures in five days and produces four berries per harvest, offering a solid return for its relatively short growth cycle.
Strawberry Seeds unlock at the Intermediate Farmer tier of the Farming profession and are purchased from the Happiness Seed Shop for 230 Coins. Because Strawberry can grow in Winter, it fills a gap that many other crops cannot. Farmers looking for steady income during the colder months often plant rows of Strawberries alongside other cold-season options like Fluffbean and King Water Chestnut.
Beyond selling raw berries, Strawberry is a versatile cooking ingredient. It appears in four different recipes, including Strawberry Mousse, Berry Mochi, Chilled Strawberry Juice, and Glowing Nectar. Several island residents also love receiving Strawberries as gifts, making this crop useful for building friendships.

Strawberry Seeds are sold by Graminova at the Happiness Seed Shop for 230 Coins per seed bag. The shop is located in Starsand Town, near Ethereal Styles by the plaza, and operates from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM each day.
You must reach the Intermediate Farmer tier before Strawberry Seeds appear in the shop inventory. To unlock Intermediate Farmer, complete the Junior Farmer trial quests given by Graminova and then finish the Intermediate Farmer trials. Once you earn the certification, Strawberry Seeds (along with other Intermediate-tier seeds) become permanently available for purchase.
Seeds are not locked by season at the point of purchase. You can buy Strawberry Seeds during any season and stockpile them for Spring or Winter planting. This is especially useful near the end of Autumn when you want to prepare seed inventory for the upcoming Winter.
An alternative way to obtain Strawberry Seeds is through the Grinder. The Grinder can process Strawberry Seeds into 2 Strawberries, but more importantly, it works in reverse for some crops. You can also find Strawberry Seeds through general exploration by chopping trees and shrubs, foraging weeds, and opening Treasure Chests scattered across the island.
Strawberry is planted on standard Farmland. Unlike crops such as Rice (which requires a Paddy Field) or Cherry Tomato (which requires a Trellis), Strawberry needs only basic tilled soil. Use your hoe to till a plot, plant the seed, and water it.
After planting, Strawberry takes five days to reach maturity. Water the crop every day for it to grow on schedule. If you skip a day of watering, growth will stall until the next time you water it. Once the plant is fully grown, harvest it to collect 4 Strawberries per plant.
Strawberry is a single-harvest crop. After you pick the berries, the plant is removed and the plot must be replanted from seed. This is different from multi-harvest crops like Peppers or Tomatoes that regrow on Trellises after each pick. Because of the replanting requirement, many players set up sprinklers alongside their Strawberry plots to automate daily watering and reduce the amount of manual labor involved in maintaining large fields.
Strawberry grows in Spring and Winter. Each season lasts 28 in-game days. With a five-day growth cycle, you can fit up to five full planting cycles within a single season (planting on days 1, 6, 11, 16, and 21). The final planting on day 24 would still mature by day 28, giving you a potential sixth harvest if timed carefully.
The Winter availability is what makes Strawberry particularly valuable. Many crops cannot grow during the cold season, so Strawberry helps fill your fields and keep income flowing when other options are limited. During Winter, you can pair Strawberry with crops like Fluffbean, King Water Chestnut, and Daikon to keep every plot productive.
Each Strawberry sells for 165 Coins. Since one seed bag (230 Coins) produces 4 Strawberries, a single planting yields 660 Coins in revenue, for a net profit of 430 Coins per seed. Over the five-day growth period, that works out to 86 Coins of profit per day per plot.
For higher returns, consider selling your harvest to the Merchant Ship when it docks at Starsand Town. The Merchant Ship pays roughly double the standard vendor price for select goods, which could push Strawberry revenue to around 330 Coins per berry. Timing your harvests to coincide with the ship's visits maximizes your earnings.
You can also increase profit by processing Strawberries into cooked dishes. Chilled Strawberry Juice requires only 2 Strawberries and no other ingredients, making it the simplest processing option. For a full breakdown of crop earnings, see the Crop Profitability Rankings page.
Strawberry is used as a cooking ingredient in four recipes. The table below lists each recipe, its required ingredients, the cooking station, and the processing time.
Recipe | Ingredients | Station | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
1m 36s | |||
Chilled Strawberry Juice | Strawberry x2 | 1m 35s | |
Glowing Nectar | Strawberry x1, Sugar x1 | 59s | |
1m 35s |
Berry Mochi is listed in the recipe name but uses Strawberry as its berry ingredient. The Strawberry Mousse recipe is unlocked by collecting the 3rd Cuisine Stamp from Treasure Chests found across the island. Chilled Strawberry Juice is the simplest recipe, requiring only two Strawberries and no additional ingredients.
Note: Strawberry cannot be processed in the Jam Maker. Unlike fruits such as Apple, Watermelon, or Star Mango, there is no Strawberry Jam product in the game. If you want to process Strawberries for profit, cooking recipes or the Juicer are your options.
Strawberry is a popular gift item among island residents and animals. Giving a Strawberry to a character who loves it provides a significant boost to your friendship level. Below are the known preferences.

|---|---|
Loved | Capybara, Graminova, Little Panda, Marston, Matilda, Parrot, Sagewood, Squirrel |
Liked | Most other characters |
Neutral | Dog, Panda |
Disliked | Ferret |
Since Graminova loves Strawberries and she is the Farming profession mentor, gifting her Strawberries is a convenient way to raise friendship while you are already visiting the Happiness Seed Shop to buy seeds.
Like all crops in Starsand Island, Strawberry has an Everlasting variant. Everlasting Strawberry Seeds produce a plant that does not disappear after harvest. Instead, the crop regrows on its own, eliminating the need to buy new seeds and replant each cycle.
There are several ways to obtain Everlasting Strawberry Seeds:
Islandpedia Rewards: Completing certain entries in the Plants section of the Islandpedia may reward you with Everlasting Seeds for specific crops.
Eternal Blessings Skill: The Senior Farmer tier unlocks the Eternal Blessings skill, which gives a chance of receiving an Everlasting Seed when harvesting any regular crop. The higher your farming proficiency, the better the odds.
Random Harvest Drops: Occasionally, harvesting a normal Strawberry plant will yield an Everlasting Strawberry Seed alongside the regular berries.
Everlasting Seeds are safe to relocate. If you remove an Everlasting crop from a plot, the seed returns to your inventory so you can replant it elsewhere without losing your investment. Over time, building up a collection of Everlasting Strawberry Seeds lets you maintain a permanent Strawberry field that produces berries every five days without any ongoing seed costs.
Strawberry is one of several crops available at the Intermediate Farmer tier. The table below compares it with other crops that share a similar growth period or seasonal window.
Crop | Growth Time | Season | Yield | Seed Cost | Sell Price | Plot Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Strawberry | 5 days | Spring, Winter | 4 | 230g | 165g | Farmland |
4 days 6 hours | Summer | 4 | 240g | 153g | Farmland | |
4 days 12 hours | Summer, Autumn | 4 | 250g | 170g | Paddy Field | |
3 days 6 hours | Spring, Autumn | 2 | 240g | 139g | Trellis |
Strawberry has the advantage of Winter availability, which neither Blueberry nor Corn can match. Its 165 Coin sell price is higher than Blueberry (153g) but slightly below Corn (170g). However, Corn requires a Paddy Field while Strawberry grows on standard Farmland, making Strawberry simpler to set up.
Stockpile seeds before Winter: Buy extra Strawberry Seeds during Autumn so you are ready to plant on the first day of Winter. This maximizes the number of harvest cycles you can fit into the cold season.
Pair with sprinklers: Since Strawberry requires daily watering and must be replanted after each harvest, sprinklers save significant time on larger farms. Place sprinklers to cover your Strawberry rows and focus your energy on other tasks.
Gift Strawberries to Graminova: She loves them, and you are already visiting her shop for seeds. Raising her friendship level unlocks additional rewards and dialogue.
Process into Chilled Strawberry Juice: If you have a Juicer, converting 2 Strawberries into Chilled Strawberry Juice can yield more value than selling the berries raw. This is an easy way to boost revenue without complex ingredient chains.
Work toward Everlasting Seeds: Once you reach Senior Farmer and unlock the Eternal Blessings skill, every Strawberry harvest has a chance of dropping an Everlasting Seed. Over time, this eliminates seed costs entirely and turns Strawberry farming into pure profit.
