Add trust bonus and Karen Quarry source
The Rabbit Leather Mask is a unique leather headgear piece in Crimson Desert. Unlike most leather helms, the Rabbit Leather Mask does not provide any elemental resistance. Instead, it offers two distinctive special effects: Daze Immunity and +2 Trust Gain. This combination makes it one of the more unusual headgear options available, favoring players who prioritize NPC interaction benefits and crowd control protection over raw elemental defense.
The mask can be obtained relatively early by solving a crane puzzle in Karin Quarry, or crafted at a Blacksmith after examining the crafting manual "Leather Armors of the World Vol. II," which is found inside the Totesmith Tannery.

The Rabbit Leather Mask stands out among leather headgear because it trades the standard Lightning Resistance bonus for two special effects. Daze Immunity prevents the stun-like daze status from affecting Kliff while the mask is equipped, which can be valuable during encounters with enemies that rely on daze attacks. The +2 Trust Gain bonus increases the trust earned from interactions with NPCs, helping players build relationships and unlock vendor inventories faster.
The Rabbit Leather Mask does not have any Abyss Gear sockets. Players who require Abyss Gear customization on their headgear should look into alternatives such as the Leather Helm of the Fallen Kingdom.
The Rabbit Leather Mask can be found in a treasure chest inside Karin Quarry. To reach the chest, players must solve the second crane puzzle located at the base of the large crane, further to the east of the Excavatron boss arena.
The puzzle requires manipulating the crane's claw mechanism. Lower the claw and wait until one side locks onto the rock slab below. Then position the other claw to fully lock the mechanism before pulling upward. Successfully raising the stone reveals a small opening that houses the treasure chest containing the Rabbit Leather Mask.
Clearing the Karin Quarry area of enemies beforehand is recommended but not strictly required to complete the puzzle.
The Rabbit Leather Mask can also be crafted at any Blacksmith after examining the crafting manual Leather Armors of the World Vol. II. This manual is found inside the Totesmith Tannery.

Thin Hide and Thick Hide are common hunting materials obtained by killing animals across Pywel. Both materials drop frequently from wildlife in the Hernand region and surrounding areas.
The Rabbit Leather Mask can be refined at a Blacksmith to increase its base defense. Refinement requires Silver Coins and crafting materials, with increasing costs at higher levels. See the Refining System page for the full breakdown of costs and materials.
The Daze Immunity effect makes the Rabbit Leather Mask a practical choice when facing enemies or bosses that frequently use daze-inflicting attacks. Being immune to daze prevents Kliff from being temporarily stunned, which can be the difference between dodging a follow-up strike and taking heavy damage.
The +2 Trust Gain bonus is a non-combat benefit that accelerates trust building with NPCs. Trust levels unlock additional dialogue options, quests, and vendor inventory. Players who want to unlock high-trust vendor items sooner (such as late-game armor from Lola in Pailune) can equip the Rabbit Leather Mask during NPC interactions and then swap back to a combat-oriented helm when heading into dangerous areas.
Visit Karin Quarry early to pick up the Rabbit Leather Mask for free. The crane puzzle does not require any special abilities to complete.
Keep the Rabbit Leather Mask in your inventory even after upgrading to better headgear. Equipping it before speaking with NPCs lets you benefit from the +2 Trust Gain without sacrificing combat effectiveness.
The Daze Immunity is especially useful against certain Abyss bosses that rely on staggering attacks to open up damage windows.
If you prefer to craft the mask, hunt wolves and deer in Hernand for Thin Hide and Thick Hide. These animals drop both materials consistently.

Players often call this the Bunny Mask, and it is one of the most valuable accessories for anyone grinding vendor trust. Wearing it adds +2 trust to every gift you hand over. A standard +5 gift becomes +7, which compounds fast across the 20+ vendors worth raising to 100 trust. Put it on specifically during gift rounds and swap it off afterward if you prefer a different look.
The mask is craftable, and a second copy is sold at Karen Quarry for players who skipped the recipe. See the NPC Trust System for gift categories by NPC type and the daily cap rules that make the +2 bonus so valuable.
