Effect
Press R1 + Circle to strike while dodging backward. Kliff performs a quick slash as he retreats, dealing damage to the enemy while creating distance. This is a defensive counterattack that works well against aggressive enemies, allowing Kliff to punish attacks without committing to a full dodge roll that would leave him unable to retaliate.
How to Acquire
Evasive Slash is unlocked by raising the Armed Combat skill to Level 2. Since Armed Combat is one of Kliff's starting skills, players can invest their first few Abyss Artifacts to reach Level 2 relatively early in the game.
Tips
Evasive Slash is excellent against enemies with slow, telegraphed attacks. Wait for the wind-up, then press R1 + Circle to deal damage and escape simultaneously.
The backward movement can be used to bait enemies into following you, setting up additional counterattack opportunities.
This skill does not have inner skill upgrades, so treat it as a reliable spacing tool throughout the entire game.
