A boulder fell from the sky, shattering the seal that kept the Runewalker dormant. The barrier stones must be found and restored before it awakens again.

Faction Quests
Destroyed Barrier Stone of the Lake is a Hernand faction quest that supports the trolls of Kharonso in the Scholastone region. Kliff must locate four broken barrier stones around Lake Kharonso, seal each into the Kuku Pot, and then restore the four crumbling pillars at the lake itself.
Completing the restoration unlocks the boss fight against Vordis, the Runewalker. Vordis has a glowing prism on his head that is his weak spot. Use Axiom Force on L3 to grab the prism, then hold L2 and push down on the right stick to pull it free. Once Vordis collapses into rocks, R2 burst attacks deal the most damage before he reassembles.
The Kharonso Ruins pillars work as cover during the encounter. Pulling the prism from behind a pillar lets Kliff avoid most of Vordis' incoming attacks.
Defeating Vordis rewards the Mossy Secret Map (which reveals all Legendary Fish locations) and one Abyss Artifact.
