Morheim is the Asmodian territory added by the Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow update on July 1, 2026, on the Korean and Taiwanese build. NCsoft frames it as the land of fire and ice, and its terrain lives up to that: tundra on one side, lava fields on the other, and a canyon where the two meet.

Its Elyos counterpart is Eltnen. Morheim is also named in AION 2's own lore as one of the two anchors of the Asmodian Bulwark, which the Empyrean Lords raised between Morheim and Beluslan.
Finishing the hero quest line in Altgard spawns a spatial transfer portal. It checks character level, item level and combat power before it will carry you.
NCsoft's region material describes these sub-areas in Korean. Patamor Plains is the English name the game itself uses; the island and the canyon have no English name in the game data seen so far. Treat the English name as provisional until NCsoft uses it.
Area | What it is |
|---|---|
Patamor Plains (파타모르 평원) | The first area you meet on entering Morheim. Shallow-snow tundra where rocky peaks and forest fold into ravines, with Balaur strongholds scattered through it. |
크로메데의 섬 | A floating island formed by an Ode storm, on which Kromede built a settlement. Small but orderly and prosperous, with Kromede's subordinates on hard watch throughout. |
할라바나협곡 | A canyon between the snowfield and the lava fields, where hardened lava and shallow water meet. Meltwater from the Nephra snowfield and the Patamor forest pours down as waterfalls and fills the canyon with hot steam. |
Kromede also appears elsewhere in AION 2: the Fire Temple Expedition is built around the shadow of the desire that consumed her.
Morheim carries the same Chapter 1 field layer as Eltnen: Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and Monoliths, plus field bosses and the travel network. NCsoft has said the two territories roll out across Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 rather than shipping complete.
The game's location text sketches the situation. Kromede, described as a treasure hunter, once worked out of a camp in Morheim before claiming the sky island as her base, and the spirits of the Fire Temple turned wrathful at rumours that she had abandoned it. Sigebert commands a Taytra Brigade unit in Iralcig Highland and the Muspel Volcano Zone and trains Fate Archons of his own, and the Naga there follow his orders in the absence of their leader, Dragon Lord Fafnir. The Fate Archon instructors and candidates who studied Marchutan's scriptures were massacred by his loyalists, and fake Fate Archons capture Daeva for the Balaur, many of them Kromede's followers. The Blades, a gang that used to operate from Morheim, left bases and storehouses behind, and former Blades members now rob travellers on the road between Altgard and Morheim.
A selection of Morheim's named field sites, as the game describes them. The names are the game's own English names and are provisional.

Fire Cave | A lava cave that leads into the heart of the Fire Temple. |
Pure Spring | A spring near Muspel Volcano under a cliff that, by rumour, even Kromede never dared approach. |
Verdandi's Oratory | Where Verdandi stayed with Skuld before settling in Patamor Village, now held by Indnath's forces hunting Nemon. |

The Korean build lists Patamor Village and 크로메데의 섬 (Kromede's island) as Morheim's villages. See Strongholds and Sealed Dungeons, Monoliths and Empyrean Traces and Field Bosses for the territory's field content.
Morheim is Korean and Taiwanese live-build content. NCsoft has not published which Chapter 1 content is present in the global build at launch, so do not assume Morheim is in the global launch map.
Altgard for the territory it connects to. Eltnen for the Elyos counterpart. Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow for the update itself. World and Regions for the world structure.
