Kromede is one of the names AION 2 carries over from the AION series. This page covers only her appearances in AION 2, where she is tied to two dungeons and a region of Morheim.
Fire Temple
NCsoft used Kromede to show AION 2's boss combat before launch. At the AION2NIGHT livestream on August 8, 2025 the developers played a boss fight against Kromede in the Fire Temple with four of the eight classes revealed at the time. In the released game the final boss of the Fire Temple is Kromede's Desire (크로메데의 욕망). Most of the fight takes place behind a maze of fire walls, and a January 14, 2026 patch adjusted her multiple fire arrow attack. Since September 23, 2026 the Fire Temple is also the Expedition Ordeal on the Korean service, which runs Kromede's Desire at item level 4,800.
Fighting Kromede's Desire
Kromede's Desire fights with a bow and blades. Her wide sweeping swings make the space behind her the safe place to stand. Raising the bow to the sky warns of a volley: one version fires a single stunning arrow and another a rain of small arrows, after which she leaps at the farthest player for an area attack, so ranged players and healers keep an escape ready. Pointing the bow at the ground releases flames around her that kill quickly at close range, and at low health she does it twice in a row. In the centre of the room she conjures a clone beside every player that strikes twice, which is why the party spreads out. At set points she rises into the air and walls of fire sweep across the arena; players weave through the gaps, and at low health projectiles fly across the walls as well.
Strategy write-ups for Hard add that her clones join the fire-wall phase earlier, and that in the late phase the party is sent back to the entrance and has only a short time to cross the arena to a lit safe circle before an attack that wipes anyone left outside it. In the Ordeal version introduced on September 23, 2026, player guides describe flower-shaped pools that bloom and wither, a clone that targets the farthest player, and gate phases.

Mirror of Scarlet Desire
The Mirror of Scarlet Desire, a Transcendence dungeon added on May 13, 2026, is set in what NCsoft calls a fantastical space born from love within the shattered fragments of Kromede. Its final boss is Kromede's Desolation (크로메데의 심연). On stages 3 and 4 the first boss summons Kromede's spirit for arena-wide attacks, and illusions of Kromede shoot along the fire corridor before the last chamber.

Kromede's Island
The Chapter 1 region of Morheim includes Kromede's Island, a floating island formed by an Odyle storm on which Kromede built a village. It is small, orderly and prosperous, and her forces keep a tight guard across it.
Other Uses of the Name
Kromede is also the name of one of the Asmodian servers added to the Korean service in October 2025, and of an Asmodian launch server in the global Europe region, paired with the Elyos server Bakarma.
