Roof Ridge (Leaves)

A roof ridge made of leaves at a 45 degree angle. The ridge is the cap piece that runs along the very top of a pitched roof, sealing the seam where the two sloped faces meet. It belongs to the leaf roof set, one of the earliest roofing tiers in Windrose, and unlocks at the start of the game.

Roof Ridge (Leaves) shares the 500 max health of the leaf roof tier and is taught by Plans: Leaf Roofs and Triangular Walls. For a longer roofline, Long Roof Ridge (Leaves) caps a wider span in one piece. The ridge works together with the flat panels and corner pieces to finish a peaked roof. Set siblings:

Function and Placement

Place Roof Ridge (Leaves) along the peak of a pitched roof to close the seam the flat panels leave open at the top. Every peaked roof needs at least one ridge cap, and the gable ends are finished with Roof Corner (Leaves). The ridge also gives clearance for a chimney to pass through when a Fireplace sits below. Like the rest of the leaf tier it carries 500 health and breaks under sustained raids, so upgrade exposed roofing to clay or stone once Foothills resources are available.
