Parkour puzzles (also called trick spots) are hidden platforming challenges scattered across Starsand Town and the surrounding island. They are one of several ways to find Treasure Chests in Starsand Island. Each parkour challenge follows a golden light along rails, fences, walls, and decorative structures. Reaching the end of the course without touching the ground spawns a secret chest (grey and blue with yellow highlights) containing resources, Coins, and sometimes exclusive blueprints that cannot be obtained anywhere else.
At least four parkour puzzles have been documented on the main island, all centered in and around Starsand Town. Secret chests are visually distinct from regular treasure chests: normal chests are brown with a yellow star, while parkour-triggered secret chests are grey and blue.
Spot the golden light: Look for a glowing golden/orange aura on the surface of a rail, fence, wall corner, or decorative post. This marks the starting point of a parkour challenge.
Jump onto the light: Approach the glow and jump onto the surface where it sits. The light activates on contact.
Follow the path: After touching the first light, it moves to the next position along the course. Jump from obstacle to obstacle following the light at each stop.
Do not touch the ground: You must stay off the ground for the entire sequence. If you fall or touch the ground at any point, the light resets to the starting position and you must try again. There is no penalty for failed attempts.
Collect the chest: Successfully reaching the final light spawns a secret chest nearby with your reward.
You can complete parkour challenges using any traversal method. The key rule is simply to avoid touching the ground.
Method | Source | Notes |
|---|---|---|
On foot (jumping) | Default | Works for all puzzles but requires precise jumps |
Apprentice Crafter quest from Zerine | Makes grinding along rails much easier than jumping on foot | |
Good momentum between jumps; can hop over obstacles while rolling | ||
Hoverboard (Waverider) | Later unlock | Smooth traversal for longer courses |
Multiple guides recommend using the skateboard or hoverboard for parkour courses, as grinding along rails is significantly easier than jumping from surface to surface on foot.
The following parkour puzzles have been confirmed by community guides and walkthroughs. All are located in or near Starsand Town.
Location: At the playground slide near the Community Center and Bloom Atelier.
This is the easiest parkour puzzle. Jump onto the top of the slide where the golden light sits, then hop off and follow the light as it moves through the playground area. Touch the light at each position until the secret chest spawns near the hopscotch markings on the ground.

Softwood Plank | 5 |
Copper Ingot | 5 |
Stone Brick | 5 |

Location: On a small wall at the top of the stairs between Ethereal Styles and Soluna Cafe Lodge, across from the cafe entrance.
This is widely considered the most difficult parkour puzzle. Jump on the golden light at the wall, follow it along the wall surface to the end, then jump onto the metal railing. From the railing, jump onto the first decorative concrete sphere (stone ball), then carefully make the leap to the second sphere. The gap between the two stone balls requires a sprint and jump to clear.
Community members on Steam have shared several approaches for this puzzle. One method involves using rollerblades on the first railing and hopping over both stone spheres in sequence. Another approach is to practice the ball-to-ball jump separately before attempting the full course. Small, controlled hops along the railing tend to work better than long jumps.

Location: At the railing near the south end of Half-Moon Bay, close to G-Power Bike.
Run or skate along the entire length of the railing without falling off while following the golden light at each checkpoint. Using a skateboard or rollerblades to grind the rail makes this one straightforward. The chest spawns at the far end of the railing once you reach the final light.

Yield Fertilizer II | 5 |

Location: Near the AquaBlue Outpost area, involving a series of pillars.
This puzzle requires jumping from pillar to pillar, touching the golden light at each one. It is considered one of the harder challenges due to the precision required for each jump. An important tip: unequip any held items before attempting this puzzle, as held objects can clip against the pillars and cause you to fall.
Parkour chests are one of several hidden treasure types found across the island:
Chest Type | How to Find |
|---|---|
Fixed chests | Placed in plain sight around buildings, gardens, and roads |
Relationship-locked chests | Two chests in each NPC's bedroom, accessible at Heart Level 3 |
Treasure Map chests | Found using maps that display directional arrows to a dig spot |
Found in the Moonlit Forest dungeon area | |
Gravestar chests | Freed by breaking Gravecrystals with a pickaxe in the Moonlit Forest, then following the freed souls |
Mushroom circle chests | Spawned by collecting all mushrooms in a ring formation in the Moonlit Forest |
Special containers that require processing before opening | |
World Tree chests | Farmable via a planted World Tree crafted at Worktable Level 3 at Hopeland |
Use a skateboard or rollerblades for rail-grinding sections. You can rent them from Neona's G-Power Bike shop if you have not crafted your own yet.
Scan rooftops and elevated structures when exploring. Some parkour starting points are higher up than you might expect, and the golden lights on railings and wall corners can be easy to miss.
There is no time limit on parkour courses. Take your time positioning each jump rather than rushing through the sequence.
If a course seems too difficult, try a different movement method. Rollerblades maintain momentum between jumps, while the skateboard excels at rail grinding.
Unequip held items before attempting pillar-based parkour puzzles. Held objects can clip against obstacles and knock you off course.
Revisit areas of town you have already explored. The golden starting-point lights blend into the environment and are easy to walk past without noticing.
Parkour-exclusive blueprints cannot be purchased from any shop, making these challenges worth completing for unique crafting recipes.
