Overview
Silver Palace (Chinese: 白银之城, "City of Silver") is a free-to-play open-world action RPG with detective gameplay, developed by Silver Studio (a subsidiary of Happy Elements) and published globally by Elementa, an interactive entertainment brand based in Singapore. The game runs on Unreal Engine 5.
The official tagline is "Where shadows whisper, traces never lie."
Players take the role of a Detective who returns to the industrialized Victorian city of Silvernia after a three-year absence to investigate the death of their sibling. The game combines open-world exploration, real-time action combat with character switching, and detective mechanics including crime scene analysis, interrogation, and evidence reconstruction.
Gameplay

Combat uses a party-based system where players control teams of up to four characters, switching between them mid-fight to chain skills and trigger QTE (Quick Time Event) finishers. A stun gauge system rewards sustained offense with execution finisher moves. The Silverdrip mechanic builds stacks through combat that power character-swap Ambush skills.
Investigation is the other half of the gameplay loop. The Detective examines crime scenes, collects evidence, interrogates suspects, and reconstructs events using the Mindpalace and Evidence Board. Player choices during investigations affect the story's direction.
Traversal through Silvernia uses mechanized horses that can both gallop and fly, grappling hooks for zipline movement, and ascender/descent devices for vertical navigation through the city's layered architecture.
Setting
The game takes place in Silvernia, a Victorian-era metropolis that industrialized rapidly after the discovery of Silverium. The story is set in the third year of Queen Feliana's reign, a period the game calls the "Golden Age of Detectives." Corporate monopolies, underground crime syndicates, royal affiliates, and cultists compete for control of Silverium and political influence.
