Overview
Silvernia is the primary setting of Silver Palace. It is an industrialized metropolis with Victorian architecture, described in official materials as straddling "the crossroads of splendor and decay, where reality blurs with fables." Magic and machinery coexist here, powered by Silverium Reactors.
History
Silvernia was a modest settlement before the discovery of Silverium, a mystical element that could power machinery and produce effects resembling magic. The resource triggered rapid industrialization, drawing people from across the world and transforming Silvernia into a hub of invention, commerce, and political power. Under centralized administration, industrial exploitation of Silverium propelled the city to prominence.
The game is set in the third year of Queen Feliana's reign. The era is described as "the Golden Age of Detectives," suggesting that crime and investigation have become a defining feature of daily life. The previous queen was assassinated, and the circumstances of her death may connect to the game's central conspiracy.
Districts

The Monotype Beta revealed several named areas within Silvernia:
Morgue Street contains the Riverside Quarter and Felix Quarter. The name suggests proximity to the city's less glamorous institutions.
Four Crowns Street contains the Boutique Quarter, an area associated with commerce and upper-class establishments.
Dayfair Way contains the South Church Quarter, hinting at religious or civic institutions in the area.
The city is designed with vertical layers: towering skyscrapers, opulent upper districts, festive street-level areas with cafes and shops, and shadowy lower wards with hidden alleyways. This layered design supports the game's traversal mechanics, with grappling hooks and ascender devices needed to navigate between levels.
Atmosphere

Gas lamps line cobblestone streets. Clockwork mechanisms power the city's infrastructure. Buildings mix Gothic and Art Nouveau influences. Beneath the surface, crime scenes, political conspiracies, and mysterious disappearances are commonplace. The Fandom wiki describes it as a place where "beneath the bright city streetlights lurk the shadows of crime and conspiracy."
Day-night cycle
Silvernia has a dynamic day-night cycle with shifting weather. Time of day affects NPC behavior, available events, and the types of crimes occurring. Players can interact with the city in ways beyond combat and investigation, such as visiting bars for beverages or encountering stray cats.
