Overview
Silver Palace features seven confirmed element types, each with a Latin-inspired name and a distinct gameplay identity. Elements define the move sets and abilities of each character rather than feeding into a traditional elemental reaction system. According to Game8 coverage, Silver Palace does not currently use an elemental reaction mechanic (where combining two elements triggers a special effect, as seen in Genshin Impact). Instead, each element shapes how a character fights and what tactical role they fill on a team.
Confirmed elements
Ignis (Fire)
Ignis is the fire element, focused on burst damage output. Ignis characters excel at dealing large amounts of damage in short windows, making them natural choices for DPS roles. During the Monotype Beta, three characters carried the Ignis element: Cinderella, Cynthia II, and Alf. Having three Ignis characters in the beta roster made fire the most represented element, giving players ample opportunity to test Ignis Resonance effects.
Glacies (Ice)
Glacies is the ice element, specializing in crowd control and slowing effects. Glacies abilities reduce enemy movement speed and attack speed, creating openings for the rest of the team to capitalize on. Argos is the known Glacies character from the beta. His cane-sword fighting style combined with ice-based crowd control made him effective at locking down dangerous enemies.
Fulmen (Lightning)
Fulmen is the lightning element, built around staggering and interrupting enemies. Fulmen attacks can knock opponents mid-action, disrupting their attack patterns and leaving them vulnerable. Lorin is the known Fulmen character, fighting with electric boxing gloves that deliver rapid stun-inducing strikes.
Gravitas (Gravity)
Gravitas is the gravity element, enabling gravity manipulation and time dilation effects. This is the element associated with the Detective (the player's main character). Gravitas abilities can alter the physics of the battlefield, pulling enemies together or slowing them through gravitational force. The time dilation aspect gives Gravitas a unique tactical identity that no other element replicates.
Radiatio (Radiation)
Radiatio is the radiation element, focused on damage-over-time effects, debuffs, and sustained pressure. Rather than dealing damage in single large hits, Radiatio characters apply lingering effects that wear enemies down over time. Firtho is the known Radiatio character, using a saw cleaver weapon and needle-based abilities to apply persistent damage.
Ferrugo (Rust/Corrosion)
Ferrugo is an element associated with rust or corrosion. Limited documentation exists from the Monotype Beta about this element's specific mechanics and combat role. No playable beta character was confirmed as a Ferrugo user. The element's thematic connection to decay and corrosion suggests it may involve armor reduction, defense debuffs, or degradation effects, but this is speculative until more information is released.
Alba (White/Light)
Alba is an element associated with white light. Like Ferrugo, Alba has limited documentation from the beta period. No playable beta character was confirmed as an Alba user. The element's name (Latin for "white" or "dawn") could indicate healing, purification, or radiant damage themes, but specific mechanics have not been detailed.
Elemental Resonance
When a team is composed of characters sharing the same element, the team unlocks Resonance effects. Resonance triggers a massive area-of-effect elemental attack, dealing heavy damage of that element type to all nearby enemies. Building a same-element team trades the versatility of a mixed-element roster for the raw power of Resonance bursts.
This mechanic ties directly into character switching and team composition strategy. Players must decide whether they value the crowd control of a mixed team or the devastating burst potential of a Resonance-focused composition.
No elemental reactions
Unlike some competing titles in the genre, Silver Palace does not use an elemental reaction system where applying one element to an enemy affected by another triggers a bonus effect (such as "Vaporize" or "Superconduct" in Genshin Impact). Each element's effects stand on their own. This design choice simplifies team building in some respects, since players do not need to worry about specific element pairings, while placing greater emphasis on individual character kits and the Resonance system. The combat system article covers how elements interact with QTEs, parries, and other core mechanics.
Known character-element assignments
The following character-element pairings were confirmed during the Monotype Beta:
Detective (protagonist): Gravitas
Cinderella: Ignis
Cynthia II: Ignis
Alf: Ignis
Argos: Glacies
Firtho: Radiatio
Lorin: Fulmen
Characters for Ferrugo and Alba have not been publicly revealed as of the Monotype Beta. Future beta tests or the official launch are expected to introduce characters covering all seven element types.
