Firtho
September 7, 2026 at 01:24 AM
Corrected the class wording and the kit description from damage-over-time to team sustain, added a profile table, a Methods table and an Acquaintance section covering her parentage and the mechanical heart

Firtho is a 4-star Radiatio (Radiation) character of the Guardian class in Silver Palace. She is a doctor at The Corner Clinic and her title is "The Medical Lancet."

Firtho has short dark hair and golden eyes with light blue pupils. She wears a red and black dress under a white lab coat. Medical-themed design elements include a beating heart with a syringe on her left shoulder, surgical scissors, and a red wax heart seal.
Her primary weapon is a red saw cleaver that is a chainsaw. During QTE sequences, she jabs syringes filled with unidentified liquid into enemies. Her attacks incorporate both her cleaver and medical implements in an unsettling combination of healing imagery and violence.
Firtho is a cold and mean doctor who conducts medical research in secret chambers. She suffers from a congenital illness that requires keeping a life-sustaining device on her body at all times. This chronic condition may inform her drive toward medical research and her blunt personality. Her official profile adds that she wants no pity and hates being a burden, and that the secret chambers where she works sit inside the clinic itself.
Her quote: "Life has not been kind to me. Death, on the other hand... has been a truer friend."
Firtho channels the Radiatio (Radiation) element, one of the seven combat elements in Silver Palace. As a Guardian-class character (see Character Classes), she trades the Outlaw archetype's mobility for elevated durability and front-line presence. Where Lorin (Fulmen Guardian) controls crowds with electric area damage, Firtho's Radiatio kit leans the other way, into keeping the party alive: her charged Skill heals the team over time and stacks a party-wide attack buff, and her passive cuts the damage everyone takes while that buff is running. The two give party builders very different flavours of Guardian to slot against different encounter types.
Firtho practices at The Corner Clinic, a small Silvernia medical facility, conducting her medical research in private chambers behind it. She is not formally tied to any of the major factions (River Constabulary, MISS, House Luna, the Fableborne, corporate monopolies, or cultists); her allegiances appear to be to the work itself rather than to any institution. This independence makes her a useful recruit for the Detective precisely because her professional reputation does not implicate her in any one faction's agenda.
A promotional trailer released in August 2026 gave her a second professional register. It opens on Firtho in a dimly lit operating room performing a forensic examination on a corpse formed from Silverium, with surgical instruments laid out and the silver substance moving slowly across the body. The trailer keeps returning to that room between combat sequences, and ends with the corpse fracturing and the liquid metal spreading through the room. It is the first material to show her doing post-mortem work rather than treating the living, and it places her research directly on the investigation side of the game rather than only on the combat side.
Firtho's red saw cleaver doubles as a chainsaw, and her QTE windows let her switch in syringes loaded with unidentified compounds for follow-up jabs. The combination of medical implements and brutal cutting weapons is a recurring Silver Palace design pattern: characters whose surface roles (maid, doctor, bartender, dancer) hide aggressive combat kits. Her charged Skill funds the team's health bar out of her own, so she reads best next to teammates who can hold the field while the buff runs (see Combat System).
On Resonance-leaning teams (see Resonance), Radiatio gained a second playable carrier in Captain Kaboom during the second closed beta, so a pure-Radiatio pairing is possible where it was not in the first test. Mixed teams typically bring Firtho as the second front-liner alongside a non-Guardian element-matched party, or as the lone Guardian on rotation builds that prioritize swap pressure over sustained tank duty. Her congenital illness and dependence on a life-sustaining device do not appear to gate any of her combat capabilities; the device is part of her character design and quote material rather than a kit-affecting mechanic. Resonance itself is a per-character meter: Firtho fills her own as she attacks, and the effect that fires when it is full is set by her Reactor attribute rather than by the party's element spread.
The kit below was recorded in the second closed beta build, the Dichotomy Beta Test, so the values describe that build rather than a finished release version. Firtho runs on Special Serum, capped at 10 and refilling at one per second. Her Skill has a tap form and a held form, and only the held form pays out the team buff.
Method | Type | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Amputation Saw | Basic Attack | Four-hit cleaver chain. A perfect dodge lets her open straight into a fully charged attack that interrupts enemies. |
Second Heart | Skill | Tapped, it spends 2.5 Special Serum for a quick strike. Held, it spends 10 and drains her own health while it charges, then buffs the whole team's attack by 1.5% per stack, up to eight stacks for 40 seconds, and heals the party over that window. |
Visage of Death | Ultimate | A single heavy swing of the amputation saw. |
Law of Exchange | Switch-in attack that spends stored Reactor energy. | |
Pain Management | Passive | Cuts the team's incoming damage by 20% while the Second Heart buff is up. |
Firtho can be invited to the Detective's Office through the Acquaintance affinity layer, given gifts there, and summoned as a companion. Trust builds from gifts and from ordinary shared activity: fighting alongside the Detective, exploring, and eating together. The details below were recorded in the second closed beta build.
The panel is the most substantial piece of background attached to her anywhere. It names her as the daughter of Erwing, a scholar of the Royal Academy, and as a childhood friend of the Detective rather than a new contact. It also gives the life-sustaining device a name: a mechanical heart that now beats in place of the failing one she was born with. Her reaction to the Detective's return is written as resentment at three years of silence rather than professional distance, and her recorded impression of the Detective at level two is "Childhood Friend".

Five Acquaintance levels are tracked for Firtho. In that build the first four levels each paid Ounces and reading material, and the fifth paid a Standard Shot together with Reactor Crystals. The first level unlocked the Keep Company interaction and the second a personal letter, while the fifth unlocked an interaction called "Physical Exam". Those figures come from a test build and are the kind of number most likely to be retuned before release.
