Overview

Silvernia is home to multiple competing factions, all driven by the pursuit of power, Silverium, and political influence. These factional conflicts generate the criminal activity and conspiracies that the Detective investigates. The official website describes the setting as a place where "corporate monopolies, underground syndicates, royal affiliates, and cults" all compete.
The River Constabulary
Silvernia's official law enforcement organization. Chief Inspector Lorin leads the Constabulary. His philosophy emphasizes building sustainable institutional systems over relying on individual acts of heroism, which suggests the Constabulary faces internal challenges and resource constraints. The Detective works alongside the Constabulary during investigations but is not a formal member, maintaining independence.
MISS
MISS (Maid Institute, Society, and Services) is an organization of armed maids operating throughout Silvernia. Members include Alf (No. 49, active) and Argos (former member). The organization provides domestic services as a cover or complement to more substantive activities. MISS members are trained combatants, and their presence across Silvernia's districts gives them a wide information network.
The Fableborne
Cinderella is affiliated with the Fableborne. The faction's fairy-tale naming and Cinderella's story motif (pumpkin carriage, vengeance narrative, the title "The Vengeful Ant") suggest a group whose members assume identities from folklore. Whether the Fableborne are antagonists, anti-heroes, or simply a faction with their own agenda is not fully clear from beta content alone.
House Luna
Cynthia II is a scion of House Luna, indicating that noble families function as political factions in Silvernia. House Luna appears to have connections to the monarchy through the "royal affiliates" category. Other noble houses may exist but have not been named in available materials.
Corporate monopolies
Unnamed corporate entities control portions of Silvernia's Silverium industry. Their economic power translates to political influence, and their control over Silverium supply chains makes them a factor in every power struggle in the city. The Detective's investigations are likely to cross paths with corporate interests at various points.
Underground crime syndicates
Criminal organizations operate in Silvernia's lower wards and shadowy districts. They compete with legitimate power structures for territory and Silverium. Street-level crime and organized criminal activity provide much of the detective work the player engages in during the game's cases.
Royal affiliates
Groups aligned with the monarchy under Queen Feliana. The assassination of the previous queen complicates the loyalty of these affiliates. Some may be genuinely loyal to the current queen, while others might have connections to the assassination or their own power agendas. The political instability created by a regicide provides fertile ground for conspiracy.
Cultists
A faction connected to Silvernia's supernatural elements, with unknown goals. Cults in the game's world may worship, study, or attempt to exploit Silverium's mystical properties for purposes beyond industrial use. Their activities sit at the intersection of the mundane criminal world and the supernatural elements of the setting.
The Detective's position
The Detective operates outside all faction allegiances. They cooperate with the Constabulary, employ MISS members, investigate Fableborne activities, and interact with nobles, criminals, and cultists. This independence is what allows them to investigate across factional lines, but it also means they have no institutional protection. The fragile justice system described in the game's marketing materials suggests that pursuing the truth can put the Detective at odds with any faction at any time.
