Fly is a Pokemon Specialty in Pokemon Pokopia that enables fast travel. When you open the Pokedex to search for a specific Pokemon and select it, a Fly-specialty Pokemon will carry Ditto directly to that Pokemon's habitat. Fly drastically reduces traversal time across the five large biomes.
Transports Ditto from the current location to any registered Pokemon's habitat
Used by selecting a Pokemon in the Pokedex search and confirming the Fly option
Bypasses terrain obstacles like cliffs, water, and walls
Same end-result as Teleport specialty, though the in-game animation differs (Fly soars, Teleport blinks)

Fly and Teleport reach the same end result: both move Ditto to any registered Pokemon's habitat selected from the Pokedex search. The difference is presentation only. A Fly Pokemon soars Ditto over terrain, while a Teleport Pokemon blinks instantly. Either one bypasses cliffs, water, and walls, so you only need one of the two to unlock fast travel.
Because Fly works with any Pokemon you have already registered, the network of destinations grows automatically as you fill the Pokedex. Pairing Fly with a Search Specialty Pokemon lets you combine fast travel with buried-item hunting on the same outing.
Befriend Pidgey early. Pidgey is the easiest Fly Pokemon to obtain in Withered Wasteland, and even one Fly Pokemon massively speeds up cross-area travel.
Fly works with any registered Pokemon as the destination, not just specific waypoints. This means you can reach any habitat instantly once you have explored to it once.
Pair Fly with Search specialty Pokemon to combine fast travel and buried-item exploration in single trips.
