Flowers and plants are a core decorative and functional element in Pokemon Pokopia. Players can plant flower seeds, grow hedges, cultivate berry trees, and use vegetation to create specific habitats that attract Pokemon. Each region has its own native flower type, and flowers come in multiple color variants that can be mixed and matched for aesthetic garden designs.
Till the soil using the Rototiller ability (learned from Drilbur in Withered Wasteland).
Select a seed from your inventory and plant it in the tilled soil.
Water the planted seed using Water Gun.
Wait for growth. Flowers take approximately 1 day to bloom. Berry trees take about 4 days to mature.

A Pokemon with the Grow specialty placed near planted seeds will accelerate growth significantly, often making flowers bloom within minutes instead of a full day.
Each of the four main regions has its own native flower type. Regional flowers can be planted in any region, but they grow naturally only in their home area.
Flower Type | Native Region | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Wildflowers | The most common flower type; available from the start | |
Seashore Flowers | Coastal variants that thrive near water | |
Mountain Flowers | Hardy alpine blooms found at higher elevations | |
Skyland Flowers | Ethereal flowers native to the floating islands |
In addition to regional types, flowers come in four style categories, each with five color variants:
Style | Description |
|---|---|
Beautiful | Large, lively blooms with rich colors |
Cute | Smaller, rounder flowers with pastel tones |
Elegant | Tall, slender flowers with refined shapes |
Robust | Hardy, full-bodied flowers that grow in clusters |
Each style comes in five colors, giving a total of 20 flower variants per region (4 styles x 5 colors). Mixing different styles and colors in your gardens creates visually diverse landscapes.
Hedges are plantable greenery that function as decorative borders and habitat components. Four hedge types exist:
Hedge Type | Description |
|---|---|
Adorable Hedge | Round, compact hedges with a friendly shape |
Healthy Hedge | Lush green hedges with dense foliage |
Damp Hedge | Moss-covered hedges suited for humid areas |
Stylish Hedge | Neatly trimmed ornamental hedges |
Berry trees produce berries used for PP restoration and cooking. They take approximately 4 days to mature from seed. Six types exist:

Berry Tree | Berry Produced | Primary Use |
|---|---|---|
Leppa Berry | PP restoration (most accessible early-game berry) | |
Chesto Berry | Chesto Berry | PP restoration |
Rawst Berry | Rawst Berry | PP restoration, cooking ingredient |
Pecha Berry | Pecha Berry | Cooking ingredient (sweet flavor) |
Aspear Berry | Aspear Berry | Cooking ingredient (sour flavor) |
Lum Berry | Lum Berry | Cooking ingredient (versatile) |
Tip: Photograph berry trees on Developer Island and duplicate them with the 3D Printer. Duplicated berry trees bear fruit after just 1 day instead of the usual 4.

Many habitats require specific flower types or quantities. Placing flowers near other habitat components can trigger habitat recognition. For example, the Pretty Flower Bed habitat requires multiple flowers of any type placed close together, attracting Pokemon like Bellossom and Vileplume. Check the Habitat Dex for specific flower requirements per habitat.
Place a Grow-specialty Pokemon (like Venusaur) near your garden to speed up flower growth dramatically.
Use Smearguru's Paint specialty to recolor hedges and match your settlement's aesthetic.
Flowers do not wilt or die once fully grown. They remain indefinitely without maintenance.
Plant rows of flowers along roads to boost the visual appeal and Environment Level of your settlement.
Duplicate rare flower seeds using the 3D Printer by photographing the grown plant in Item Mode.
