Overview

Entei is one of the three Legendary Beasts in Pokemon Pokopia, alongside Raikou and Suicune. Entei is found exclusively through random encounters on Dream Islands and is considered one of the harder Legendary Pokemon to locate due to the random nature of Dream Island spawns. Encountering all three Legendary Beasts is a prerequisite for summoning Ho-Oh.

How to Find Entei

Required Doll

Entei appears on the Volcanic Dream Island, accessed by using an Arcanine Doll with Drifloon. The Arcanine Doll can be purchased from the Palette Town Pokemon Center PC Shop or found in Glowing Blocks. Use the Dowsing Machine to locate Glowing Blocks more efficiently.

Navigating the Volcanic Dream Island

After arriving on the Volcanic Dream Island, head toward the mountain in the center. Jump down the mountain entrance and follow the path deeper inside. The interior has considerably less lava than the exterior.

If Entei is present on this visit, you will see a boxed-off corner with Lava Blocks stopping your progress. Break through the Lava Blocks using Rock Smash (powered up by eating Hamburger Steak). Once through, Entei will be waiting in the enclosed area.

The encounter is not guaranteed on any single visit. If the lava-blocked area is not present or is empty, Entei did not spawn this time. Multiple visits are typically required.

Befriending Entei

When Entei is present, speak to it and go through the dialogue to bring it along with you. Behind Entei, you will find 3 Rare Pokemetal on a pedestal. Collect these before returning to Drifloon to leave the island.

Specialty

Entei has the Burn specialty, allowing it to ignite nearby flammable objects such as campfires and furnaces. This makes Entei a practical helper for cooking (lighting stoves and campfires) and smelting (powering Smelting Furnaces). Having Entei near a cooking station or furnace eliminates the need to manually assign a Burn-specialty Pokemon.

Habitat Preferences

After befriending Entei and bringing it to your island, assign it to a house and decorate to boost its Comfort Level. Entei prefers a warm environment.

Connection to Ho-Oh

Encountering all three Legendary Beasts (Raikou, Entei, and Suicune) unlocks the recipe for the Clear Bell. The Clear Bell is crafted using 5 Rare Pokemetal and 5 Rainbow Feathers. Ring the Clear Bell when Ho-Oh is flying overhead to summon it.

Tips

• Always eat Hamburger Steak before entering the Volcanic Dream Island. You need powered-up Rock Smash to break the Lava Blocks guarding Entei.

• If Entei does not appear, wait until the next real-world day or adjust your Nintendo Switch 2 system clock forward one day to reset the Dream Island spawn.

• The Arcanine Doll is available at the Palette Town Pokemon Center Shop. Stock up if you plan multiple visits.

• Collect the 3 Rare Pokemetal behind Entei before leaving. This material is essential for crafting the Clear Bell and Tidal Bell.

• Entei's Burn specialty makes it one of the most practically useful Legendary Pokemon. Place it near your smelting and cooking stations for passive fire assistance.
