Overview
At the end of the Out of Ideas main quest, you are asked which part of Talea you would like to explore first: Logos (North) or Mythos (South). Blanco is the one who informs you of the differences between the two factions, but the choice is formally made once Julia asks. Once you decide, the next main story quest directs you toward the region you picked. This is one of the major story Choices in LumenTale.
North or South Choice Outcomes
Choice | Result |
|---|---|
Logos, to the north | You get access to Logos first. This includes Logos-exclusive [[List of All Animon |
Mythos, to the south | You get access to Mythos first. This includes Mythos-exclusive [[List of All Animon |
Differences Between the Two Regions
The choice only determines which region you take on first. It does not lock you out of the other side, so it comes down to preference and which element types you want to encounter early.
Region | Biomes | Animon Types Encountered First |
|---|---|---|
Logos (North) | More technological cities and the snow biome | Electric Type, Ice Type, and Data Type Animon |
Mythos (South) | More forest and swamp areas | Geo Type, Grass Type, and Virus Type Animon |
You Can Still Visit the Other Region's First City
Whichever region you choose, you can still travel up to the first city of the opposite region. The catch is that the world map for that side stays fogged, and you will not be able to sign up for the Lumen Squadron battle in that first city of the route you did not pick.
Being unable to battle the Lumen Squadron prevents you from going deeper down that side of the map, because you need the respective Holoken Power to pass through certain roadblocks.
Should You Go North or South?
The decision is up to player preference. Pick Logos (North) if you want to encounter more Electric, Ice, and Data Animon first. Pick Mythos (South) if you prefer Geo, Grass, and Virus Animon. You will reach the other region either way, so neither choice closes off content.
