Leveling Animon quickly in LumenTale: Memories of Trey relies on a few reliable methods. Each suits a different play style, from safely dumping excess items to risky high level battles. The methods below can be combined for steady, fast progress.
Method | How It Works |
|---|---|
Throw Items Into Trash Cans | The fastest way to gain EXP. Discard unneeded items at trash cans found in cities. |
Cook Riso del Bosco | The Riso del Bosco recipe gives an Animon 1000 EXP when cooked. |
Use Experience Bilia | An Experience Bilia grants a captured Animon an EXP boost on capture. |
Battle in High Level Areas | Fighting higher level Animon yields large EXP, but carries the most risk. |
The fastest way to gain EXP is to throw away items at trash cans, which are found in cities. This is especially useful after a lot of exploring has stacked up your inventory. Be careful: certain items are used for enhancing Animon moves or for Crafting recipes, so do not throw away anything you still need.

If you have gathered ingredients along your journey, the Riso del Bosco recipe is worth cooking because it gives an Animon 1000 EXP. Buy the recipe once it appears in city restaurants.
The Experience Bilia is a type of Bilia that grants the caught Animon an EXP boost once it is captured. Because a Bilia is only used to catch an Animon, the EXP boost from an Experience Bilia happens only once per capture.
The riskiest method is going to high level areas and battling the Animon there for huge amounts of EXP. Before doing this, save your game and pack plenty of healing items, since one or two of your Animon are likely to go down against a higher level opponent.
For an edge, aim your Holoken in Animon Mode using your strongest Animon. Once the enemy is hit, it loses some health before the battle starts, giving you a head start on whittling it down. See How to Catch Animon for more on the Holoken's modes.
