Blanco

Blanco is the founder and CEO of AARI, the organisation that supports the Lumen across Talea. The game introduces him with the title Historian and Entrepreneur, and both halves of that title matter: his business exists because of what he knows about Talea's past.

AARI

AARI's stated mission is to support Lumen everywhere in Talea. In practice that takes two forms. The first is infrastructure: AARI provides dedicated resting stations for Lumen in the form of Lumen Clubs, which are also what the fast travel network is built on. The second is diplomatic: AARI offers mediatory support between the northern and southern factions, Logos and Mythos, which are often at odds with each other.

Blanco believes in that mission personally, and the conviction is fuelled by his extensive knowledge of Talea's history. A land that was once a single empire and is now split in two gives a historian a particular reason to care about mediation.

In the Story

Blanco is the character who explains the difference between the two factions before Trey commits to a route, though the choice itself is formally put to you by Julia. See Should You Go North or South?. His daughter Nada joins the travelling party after the events at The Great Tree Town and appears with him in AARI scenes.
