Overview
A Bilia is the throwable item used to catch Animon with the Holoken. There are three main ways to keep your supply stocked: buying them, crafting them, and earning them from quests. Beyond the standard Bilia, several special types improve your catch rate under specific conditions.
Ways to Get Bilias
Method | Details |
|---|---|
Buy From Shops | Sold in shops found in cities and camps. |
Craft at Rest Spots | Crafted at rest spots from recipes or by experimenting with the right materials. |
Earn From Quests | Completing quests can reward different kinds of Bilia. |
Buy Bilias From Shops
The primary way to get Bilias is to buy them from shops, specifically those found in cities or camps. Stock up before heading out.
Craft Bilias
Bilias can be crafted at rest spots. Recipes for different Bilias can be bought in certain cities, but you can also try crafting one yourself with the Experiment button as long as you have the right materials. Switch to Ales when crafting Bilias, since he has a higher rate of success than Trey and Nada.
Earn Bilias From Quests
Completing quests can reward you with different kinds of Bilia. Make a habit of talking to every NPC in new cities so you do not miss any sidequests that reward them.
Different Bilia Types
Different Bilias have different conditions for increasing catch rate.
Bilia Type | Effect |
|---|---|
Reduces the number of QTEs needed to catch an Animon. If the QTE is missed, it behaves like a normal Bilia. | |
Attribute Bilia | Performs better against Animon of a matching attribute. For example, a Felicis Bilia performs better when capturing a Felicis Animon. |
As you progress further in the game, Bilia for specific Animon attributes can be obtained. A Felicis Bilia performs better when used to capture a Felicis Animon, and so on. See Attributes Explained for how attributes work.
