Overview

Journalism careers in inZOI let your Zoi pursue a career in news reporting and media editing. Two newspaper organizations operate across Dowon and Bliss Bay, each offering a three-tier career ladder from entry-level reporter through senior editor to editor-in-chief. These are rabbit hole careers, meaning your Zoi disappears into the building during work hours and you receive periodic updates on their progress.

Mirror of the Times (Dowon)

The Mirror of the Times is Dowon's main newspaper, housed in the city's downtown media district. It covers local and national news, culture, and politics.

Bliss Bay Times

The Bliss Bay Times is the coastal city's newspaper of record. It focuses on local community stories, beach culture, and regional events.

How to Get Hired

Open your Smartphone and select the Careers app. Scroll through the available positions and choose one of the journalism roles. You start as a Reporter and work your way up. Since these are rabbit hole jobs, promotions depend on consistent attendance, arriving on time, and staying for the full shift rather than completing specific in-game tasks.

Promotion Tips

• Show up on time every scheduled work day. Late arrivals slow down your promotion bar.

• Stay for the entire shift. Leaving early counts against your progress.

• Keep your Zoi's needs high before heading to work. A hungry or tired Zoi performs worse.

• Rabbit hole careers generally promote slower than active careers, so expect roughly one week or more per rank.

• Building skills like Rhetoric and Critical Thinking may help career performance.

Career Comparison

Both newspapers offer identical salaries and schedules. The only difference is location. If your Zoi lives in Dowon, the Mirror of the Times is more convenient. If they live in Bliss Bay, the Bliss Bay Times is the better choice to minimize commute time.

Age Requirements

Journalism positions are available to Young Adult, Adult, and Middle-Aged Zois. Elder Zois cannot start new journalism careers.
