The Halloween Festival is a seasonal event in InZOI that was introduced in the v0.4.0 update on October 30, 2025. The event takes place during the fall season and adds a collection of Halloween-themed activities, decorations, and cosmetics to the game. It represents one of the first major seasonal content drops and gives players several new ways to interact with the world during autumn.
Players can grow pumpkins in their garden during the fall season. Pumpkin seeds become available for purchase at shops when the Halloween Festival is active. Once planted, pumpkins follow the standard gardening growth cycle, requiring regular watering to reach harvest.
Harvested pumpkins serve as the raw material for pumpkin carving (see below) and can also be sold or used in seasonal recipes. Growing a large pumpkin patch is a satisfying way to get into the Halloween spirit.
Once pumpkins are harvested, Zois can carve them into jack-o'-lanterns and decorative displays. The carving interface offers a selection of preset face designs ranging from classic triangle-eye lanterns to more elaborate and spooky patterns.
Carved pumpkins can be placed around the home and yard as decorations using Build Mode. They emit a warm glow at night, contributing to the seasonal atmosphere of the neighborhood.
Trick-or-treating is one of the signature activities of the Halloween Festival. Zois can go door-to-door in their neighborhood, knocking on houses and collecting candy. The feature works for Zois of all ages, though younger Zois receive different dialogue and reactions.
Neighbors may hand out candy, react with surprise, or occasionally play tricks. The candy collected during trick-or-treating is stored in the Zoi's inventory and can be eaten for a small mood boost. Wearing a Halloween costume increases the amount of candy received.
The v0.4.0 update added over 100 new cosmetic items tied to the Halloween theme. These include full costumes, accessories, makeup options, and decorative items.

A unique addition to the fishing system, ghost fish are special catches that only appear during the Halloween Festival season. These translucent, glowing fish can be found in lakes and rivers throughout the city and serve as rare collectibles.
Ghost fish have a low catch rate compared to regular fish, making them a sought-after challenge for dedicated anglers. They can be displayed in the home aquarium or sold for a premium price.
In Build Mode, a dedicated Halloween category appears during the event. This section includes themed furniture, wall decor, and outdoor objects that let players transform their home and lot into a haunted house.
Decorations range from subtle (small pumpkins on a porch, a few cobwebs in the corners) to dramatic (full graveyard setups in the yard, fog machines, and animated props). The decorations persist as long as the player keeps them placed, even after the seasonal event concludes.
The v0.4.0 update also introduced the ghost gameplay system, which allows deceased Zois to return as ghosts. While the ghost system operates independently of the Halloween Festival, the two features share thematic ties. Ghost-related content like spectral interactions, haunted lot traits, and afterlife mechanics complement the seasonal event's spooky atmosphere.
