Fire is one of the major hazards in inZOI that can damage property and potentially kill Zois. Fires most commonly start from kitchen accidents or malfunctioning appliances. Understanding fire prevention, response, and recovery is essential for protecting your household.

The risk of kitchen fires decreases as a Zoi's Cooking Skill improves. Beginner cooks are significantly more likely to cause fires than experienced ones. The Housework Skill helps with appliance maintenance that prevents electrical fires.
When a fire breaks out:
Nearby Zois may panic and flee the area
The fire spreads to adjacent flammable objects if not contained
Zois caught in the fire can die (see Death Types)
Fire alarms (if installed) alert the household
The fire department may respond if called or automatically dispatched
Install fire alarms in the kitchen and other high-risk areas
Keep the Housework Skill leveled for regular appliance maintenance
Level up the Cooking Skill before attempting complex recipes
Supervise inexperienced Zois while they cook
Place a fire extinguisher in the kitchen through Build Mode
The Firefighter Career at the Dowon Fire Station is directly connected to fire response gameplay. Firefighter Zois work as an active (on-site) career, responding to emergencies and managing fire situations. The career has a five-tier promotion path from Trainee to Assistant Chief.
The Insurance system provides financial protection against fire damage. Zois can purchase insurance policies through their phone or computer, paying regular premiums in exchange for compensation when fire damage occurs. Having insurance helps cover the cost of replacing damaged furniture and appliances.
Replace damaged furniture through Build Mode
File an insurance claim if covered
Repair any surviving but damaged appliances
Address the Zoi's emotional state; fires cause negative mood effects
Consider upgrading to fire-resistant materials and better appliances
