Best City Guide

Filled stub with full city comparison guide covering Dowon, Bliss Bay, and Cahaya
InZOI launched with two playable cities and later added a third as free DLC. Each city offers a distinct setting, climate, career selection, and residential style. Choosing the right city shapes your Zoi's daily life, from the careers available to the activities on offer. This guide compares all three cities to help you decide where to settle.
Dowon is a dense urban metropolis inspired by Seoul, South Korea. The city is defined by its towering high-rise apartments, bustling commercial districts, and a blend of traditional Korean aesthetics with modern nightlife. Dowon is the largest and most career-rich of the three cities.
Dowon experiences all four seasons: spring cherry blossoms, hot summers, colorful autumn foliage, and snowy winters. The seasonal variety affects outdoor activities, clothing needs, and the city's visual atmosphere. Winter brings snow that accumulates on streets and rooftops, while summer opens up outdoor festivals and events.
Dowon has an underground subway system for fast travel between districts. This is a major convenience factor: your Zoi can commute to work, visit friends, or reach entertainment venues without needing a personal vehicle. The subway is free and runs throughout the day.
Dowon has the widest career selection of any city. Several careers are exclusive to Dowon:
Idol Trainee: A K-pop inspired career path with auditions, training, and public performances.
Firefighter: Emergency response career with active rescue scenarios.
Pro Gamer: Competitive gaming career where your Zoi trains and competes in tournaments.
Residential options in Dowon lean toward apartments and compact homes. Space is at a premium in the urban core. The two largest lots in Dowon are rooftop parcels on top of tall buildings, offering impressive views but limited outdoor space. If you want a sprawling estate, Bliss Bay is the better choice.
Players who want the broadest career selection
Fans of urban, high-density city life
Players who enjoy seasonal weather variety
Those who prefer public transit over driving
Anyone drawn to Korean culture and aesthetics
Bliss Bay is a sun-soaked coastal city inspired by Santa Monica, California. The city revolves around its beach, boardwalk, and amusement park. Where Dowon is vertical and dense, Bliss Bay is horizontal and spacious, with a relaxed suburban feel.
Bliss Bay enjoys mild, warm weather year-round. There is no snow and minimal seasonal change compared to Dowon. The consistently pleasant climate means your Zoi can enjoy outdoor activities in any month without worrying about cold-weather effects.
Bliss Bay is car-centric. There is no subway system, so personal vehicles and bicycles are the primary way to get around. The city's layout is more spread out, making a car nearly essential for efficient travel between residential neighborhoods and commercial areas.
Bliss Bay has its own set of exclusive careers that reflect its beachside culture:
Football Player: Athletic career with team practices and game-day events.
Amusement Park Worker: Operate rides and attractions at the Bliss Bay boardwalk.
Surf Shop: Run a surfboard rental and retail business on the beach.
Bliss Bay offers more spacious residential lots than Dowon. Mid-century modern suburban homes are common, with generous yard space for outdoor furniture and landscaping. If building and decorating a large home is a priority, Bliss Bay gives you more room to work with.
Players who want beach lifestyle activities like surfing and boardwalk entertainment
Builders who want larger residential lots
Those who prefer warm, consistent weather
Players interested in the Gangster or Football Player career
Fans of California coastal aesthetics
Cahaya is a tropical resort destination inspired by Bali, Indonesia. It was added as free DLC in the v0.3.0 update. Unlike Dowon and Bliss Bay, Cahaya is not a full residential city; it functions as a vacation and leisure destination.
Cahaya is built around relaxation and outdoor activities. There are no jobs or schools in Cahaya, so it is purely a resort experience. Key activities include:
Fishing: Rich fishing spots with species unique to the tropical waters.
Farming: Small garden plots for growing tropical crops.
Boating: Rent and pilot boats across the resort's waterways.
Snorkeling: Explore underwater reefs and marine life.
Because Cahaya has no employment or education infrastructure, it is not a place where you can permanently settle and build a full life. Think of it as a vacation destination your Zoi visits to relax, fish, farm, and enjoy the scenery before returning home to Dowon or Bliss Bay.

Zois can travel between the three cities. A full travel system with expanded cross-city features is planned for the July 2026 expansion update. Currently, travel allows your Zoi to visit another city for activities before returning home.
Choose Dowon if you want the most career options, enjoy urban living, and like experiencing all four seasons. Choose Bliss Bay if you want a relaxed beach lifestyle, bigger homes, and consistently warm weather. Visit Cahaya when you need a vacation from city life. There is no wrong answer; each city delivers a distinct experience, and with cross-city travel available, your Zoi does not have to stay in one place forever.
