The FSR and Audio Hotfix is a small post-launch update for Gothic 1 Remake, released on June 18, 2026, six days after Patch 1.0.1. It targets two issues the studio said were widely reported after launch: FSR upscaling that failed to initialise, and voice-over audio that sounded muffled. The studio also confirmed it is working on a larger patch to address further reported issues, without giving a release timeline for any platform at the time of the hotfix.
For the larger first post-launch update that preceded this hotfix, see Patch 1.0.1. For the full public timeline, see Release History.
The hotfix shipped with a two-line changelog focused on graphics upscaling and dialogue audio.
Area | Fix |
|---|---|
Graphics | Fixed FSR initialisation, so AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution upscaling now starts correctly instead of failing to engage. Patch 1.0.1 had already addressed crashes tied to DLSS and FSR; this hotfix corrects the upscaler failing to turn on. |
Audio | Fixed voice-over processing effects, resolving the muffled or distorted character dialogue that players reported. See Voice Cast and Localization for the recorded language lineup. |
Alongside the hotfix, the studio said it was working on a larger patch to address additional reported issues. No changelog and no release timeline were given for that patch when the hotfix went out, and the studio said it would share a timeline for all platforms once one was set. Until then, the confirmed post-launch fixes are those in Patch 1.0.1 plus this hotfix.
