Dust Front RTS (known in fiction as Dust Front) is a post-apocalyptic real-time strategy game with grand strategy elements, built by the solo independent developer rtsDimon. It pairs classic real-time battles with a turn-based global map, set on a ravaged Earth where an Empire fights mutants, robots, and rebels. This page is the front door to the wiki; from here you can branch into the Gameplay Overview, the World and Setting, and the Getting Started guide.

The game is paid (not free-to-play), single-player, and runs on PC (Windows) only. Its release is to be announced, and at present it is wishlist-only with no demo or public playtest announced.
Dust Front RTS is two strategy games stacked on top of one another. At the tactical level you build a base, gather resources, and field an army of tanks, aircraft, infantry, and vehicles in real-time battles, often against an enemy superior in number and strength. Above that sits a turn-based grand-strategy layer where you manage territory, economy, technology, and veteran troops across a contested world map.
Genre: real-time strategy with grand-strategy elements, a procedurally generated world, and a non-linear campaign
Players: single-player
Platform: PC (Windows) only
Business model: paid; price not yet announced
Release: to be announced
Languages: English and Russian, both with full audio
Understanding Dust Front means understanding how its two layers feed each other. The real-time layer is where battles are won or lost; the global map is where you decide which battles to fight and turn your victories into lasting strength.
Layer | Pace | What you do |
|---|---|---|
Real-time battles | Real-time | Deploy a base from a mobile construction vehicle, build factories and defenses, and command tanks, artillery, aircraft, infantry, and mechs against outnumbering enemies |
Global map | Turn-based | Manage the strategic economy, capture and hold territory, research technology, and move veteran troops between fronts as strike groups or garrisons |
On the global map, major actions resolve on the next turn, so you plan ahead and anticipate enemy maneuvers to be in the right place at the right time. For the full strategic picture, see The Global Map.
