Superweapons are the rarest and most devastating armaments in Dust Front RTS. In the game's ravaged world, described in World and Setting, three powerful factions each possess one of these weapons. They sit far above ordinary forces from Units and Armies and the structures of Base Building and Resources, representing the kind of war-ending power that defines who holds true dominance.
Three Factions, Three Weapons
Each of the three factions holds exactly one rare superweapon, and each weapon is associated with a distinct, catastrophic effect. Which faction wields which weapon has not been revealed, and the factions themselves are not named. What is described is the nature of the three effects.
Reported Effect | Description |
|---|---|
City destruction | A weapon able to wipe cities to dust. |
Incurable plague | A weapon that turns cities into a breeding ground for incurable diseases. |
Army displacement | A weapon that can move entire armies straight into the chasm. |
Rare and Game-Changing
These are not weapons fielded in every engagement. They are scarce, faction-defining assets, and their presence underscores how high the stakes run across the campaign. Where conventional forces trade blows over territory, a superweapon threatens to erase a city, a population, or a whole army in a single stroke.
There are three superweapons in total, one held by each of the three powerful factions.
The three effects: wiping cities to dust, spreading incurable disease, and casting armies into the chasm.
The factions' proper names and which faction owns which weapon have not been revealed.
A Note on the Unknown
Because the factions remain unnamed and the pairing of weapon to faction is unconfirmed, this page describes only what the game has established: that three rare superweapons exist and what each does. Further detail will be added as the game reveals more.
