Trade Managers are the NPCs who run trading centers, merchant guilds, and trading posts throughout the world of Pywel in Crimson Desert. Each trade manager operates a dedicated facility where players can buy and sell packaged trade goods as part of the wagon trading economy. Trading centers serve as the official endpoints for trade runs, accepting wagons or mounted goods and paying in camp funds or silver depending on the facility type.

There are 10 confirmed trade managers spread across the major regions of Pywel. Each runs either a standalone trading post, a regional branch of the Goldleaf Merchant Guild, or a Varnia Merchant Guild trading center. Knowing each manager's location, the number of items they stock, and their featured goods is essential for planning efficient trade routes.
Trade managers become accessible as you explore new regions and progress through the main story chapters. Some facilities are tied to faction progression with the Goldleaf Merchant Guild or the Varnia Merchant Guild, while others are independent regional posts.
The table below lists every trade manager in Crimson Desert, the facility they operate, their NPC name, the number of items they stock, and notable goods available at that location.
Facility | Manager | Notable Goods | |
|---|---|---|---|
13 | Packaged Red Ginseng (312), Packaged Tobacco (288), Packaged Honey (164), Packaged Flour (120) | ||

Trading facilities in Crimson Desert fall into three categories, each with a slightly different role in the economy.
Standalone trade managers like those at Demeniss Port, Demeniss, Hernand, Tommaso, Urdavah, and Stoneward are regional posts that operate independently. They buy and sell packaged trade goods and serve as the delivery endpoints for wagon runs in their respective areas. Their inventories reflect local supply and demand, which shifts on a weekly in-game cycle.
The Varnia Merchant Guild operates dedicated trading centers at multiple locations, including Arcosa and Delesyia, as well as the primary Varnia Merchant Guild Trading Center. These facilities tend to stock a wider range of goods and often carry higher-value items such as Packaged Carpets, Packaged Gunpowder, and Packaged Ceramic. Guild-affiliated posts may also offer exclusive goods not available at standalone regional posts.

Trade managers in major cities like Delesyia also function as regional hubs where players can check supply and demand trends for an entire zone. Royal Trading Posts in large cities are connected to the broader trade network and accept deliveries from any registered wagon.
To buy or sell at a trading center, drive your wagon to the facility and approach the trade manager. Select the trade menu to view the current buying and selling lists. Each item in the list shows a price and a trend indicator. Items trending upward in price are good candidates for selling; items trending downward may be worth holding until the market recovers.
The process for packaging and transporting goods before arriving at a trade manager is as follows:
Pack goods at Greymane Camp by speaking to Karl, the Camp Provisioner. Each package costs 100 camp funds.
Load packaged goods onto your wagon at the Wagon Management Office run by Brice, or onto your horse at a stable for smaller loads.
Drive to the trade manager's location. Fast travel is disabled while carrying loaded goods.
Speak to the trade manager and select the sell option. Royal Trading Posts accept goods automatically on arrival via a cutscene.
The Demeniss Port Trade Manager (Trolmagg) and Arcosa Varnia Merchant Guild (Thomas) are two of the most important early destinations for players entering the mid-game trading loop. Trolmagg stocks Packaged Red Ginseng at a base value of 312 and Packaged Tobacco at 288, making Demeniss Port a strong sell destination for herb and commodity goods. Thomas at Arcosa carries Packaged Carpets (396) and Packaged Gunpowder (336), the highest base-value goods available from any confirmed trade manager.
Some trading centers stock unusually high-value packaged goods that reward players who plan routes specifically around them. The following items are worth watching at their respective managers.
Item | Base Value | Trade Manager | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
396 | |||
336 | |||
312 | Demeniss Port Trade Manager | ||
252 | Delesyia Trade Manager | ||
288 | Demeniss Port Trade Manager | ||
184 | |||
200 | Delesyia Trade Manager | ||
130 | Delesyia Trade Manager | ||
164 | Demeniss Port Trade Manager | ||
120 | Demeniss Port Trade Manager |
Base values shown above are starting prices before weekly price fluctuations. Check the trade interface at each post for the current market price before committing to a delivery run. Selling goods above their base value can significantly increase profit per trip.
Access to individual trade managers is tied to story progression and regional exploration. The earliest trading facility becomes available after completing Chapter 2 and visiting the Goldleaf Guildhouse south of Unicorn Cliff in the Hernand region. From there, additional managers unlock as you reach new regions:
Hernand region: Hernand Trade Manager (Hadrik) becomes available in the Hernand area early in the story, making it one of the first official trade posts accessible outside of the Goldleaf Guildhouse.
Demeniss region: Both the Demeniss Trade Manager (Ordrik) and the Demeniss Port Trade Manager (Trolmagg) open as you push into Demeniss territory in later chapters. Demeniss Port is especially valuable for its high-value herb goods.
Varnia region: The Arcosa Varnia Merchant Guild (Thomas) and the main Varnia Merchant Guild Trading Center (Vargon) become reachable as you enter Varnia. These carry the highest-value goods of any confirmed manager.
Delesyia region: Both the Delesyia Trade Manager (Grond) and the Delesyia Varnia Merchant Guild Trading Center (Fritz) open when you reach the Delesyia area. Grond's stock of Packaged Glass and Calligraphic Paintings makes Delesyia a strong destination for luxury goods routes.
Tommaso and Urdavah: The Tommaso Trade Manager (Marcus) and Urdavah Trade Manager (Kamraan) serve as mid-route stops in their respective zones, offering additional sell points between major hubs.
Stoneward: The Stoneward Trade Manager (Henning) has the smallest stock of any confirmed manager at 11 items, but is a useful local sell point in the Stoneward area.

Not all vendors in Crimson Desert deal in packaged trade goods. It is important to understand the difference between trade managers and other NPC types:
Vendor Type | Accepts | Currency | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
Trade Managers | Packaged trade goods (wagon or horse delivery) | Official trading centers. Require packaged goods transported by wagon or horse. | |
Unpackaged trade goods (direct sale from inventory) | Personal silver | Black market vendors. No wagon or packing required. Available after Chapter 2. | |
Packaged trade goods (auto-accept on wagon arrival) | Located in major city districts. Accept deliveries via cutscene. No minimum quantity. | ||
Stolen wagons only | Personal silver | North of Unicorn Cliff. Approx. 15 silver per wagon. Does not accept trade goods. |
Trade managers and Royal Trading Post managers both operate within the legitimate packaged goods economy. They pay in camp funds, which are used to construct wagons, package more goods, and fund camp operations. Goldleaf Tradepost vendors pay in personal silver and are the only way to monetize unpackaged goods found through exploration and theft.
Arcosa Varnia Merchant Guild (Thomas) stocks Packaged Carpets at a base value of 396 and Packaged Gunpowder at 336, the two highest confirmed values. Plan long-distance routes that end at Thomas for the best per-item payout.
The Demeniss Port Trade Manager (Trolmagg) and the regular Demeniss Trade Manager (Ordrik) are separate facilities in the Demeniss region. Stopping at both on the same haul allows you to unload a larger variety of goods in one trip.
Delesyia has two trade managers: Grond at the standalone post and Fritz at the Varnia Merchant Guild Trading Center. With 12 and 14 items respectively, a single visit to Delesyia can offload a very diverse cargo load.
Managers with 14 items (Ordrik, Hadrik, Fritz, Vargon) have the widest buying lists. Bring a full wagon to these locations to maximize the range of goods you can sell in one stop.
Check the price trend for each item at the trade manager's interface before selling. Holding goods for even one in-game week when prices are below baseline can meaningfully increase total earnings.
Combine trade runs with the "Contract of the Golden Crown" challenge, which requires delivering packaged goods to all four royal courts. Include trade manager stops on the same circuit to earn camp funds alongside the challenge reward.
Stoneward (Henning, 11 items) and Tommaso (Marcus, 12 items) are smaller posts, but they are still worth visiting when traveling through their zones. Even a partial unload at a minor post reduces excess cargo weight on longer routes.
