Thick Hide is a tough, durable leather in Crimson Desert with exceptional strength that absorbs heavy impacts. It is obtained by skinning giant mammals after hunting them. Thick Hide is one of the premium hide types in the crafting materials category and is required for heavy armor and shield upgrades.

How to Obtain

Thick Hide drops from skinning giant mammals. These are large animals that require more effort to hunt than small prey.

• Elk: Found in highland meadows and open plains.

• Aurochs: Large bovines encountered in grasslands.

• Other giant mammals: Any large mammal species may drop Thick Hide when skinned.

• Giant mammals are tougher to kill than small prey. Use ranged weapons or mounted combat to take them down efficiently.
