Spada Sword

Standardized "Base Attack" → "Attack Power" in stat table

The Spada Sword is a unique one-handed sword in Crimson Desert. It is one of the strongest one-handed swords available, boasting 30 Attack and Level 2 Attack Speed. Visually, the Spada Sword is widely considered one of the best-looking swords in the game, with an ornate design that stands out among other blades.
The weapon is found inside the Flame Knight's Castle in Demeniss after completing the Letter of Silence side quest, which becomes available once the player begins Chapter 8 of the main story. The sword comes with Abyss Cores already slotted but does not have any unique abilities, so players can customize it at a Blacksmith to match their preferred playstyle.

The Spada Sword can only be obtained by completing the Letter of Silence side quest. This quest does not become available until the player has started Chapter 8 of the main story. Once Chapter 8 begins, you are tasked with helping sisters to the southeast as part of the Ashen Steps quest. After you start these missions (sometime before finishing the related storyline at a different castle), the Flame Knights occupy their castle in Demeniss, and the castle icon turns red on the map.
The Flame Knight's Castle is located in Demeniss, positioned right above the letter D on the map. There is an Abyss Nexus right next to the castle, making it easy to fast travel there once unlocked. You can choose to sneak into the capital of Demeniss first or head straight to the castle; the order does not affect quest progress.
Upon entering the Flame Knight's Castle, a percentage meter appears on the left side of the screen. Your objective is to clear enough enemies to lower this meter to zero. Prioritize the flamethrower-wielding enemies first, as they deal heavy sustained damage and can control large areas. Keep an eye out for fire bombs thrown by other enemies, which create lingering fire patches on the ground.
Once the percentage meter is fully depleted, proceed to the main courtyard for the boss fight against Tristan the Flame Knight. Tristan is a powerful melee combatant who uses fire-based attacks. After defeating Tristan, a cutscene plays, the Letter of Silence quest completes, and the new quest Greed in Ashes begins.
After the boss fight cutscene ends, you will respawn inside the castle. Do not leave immediately. From your post-fight spawn point, head further forward into the castle. The Spada Sword is on the left side, tucked away in a small training area next to archery targets and practice dummies. It sits on a weapon rack and can be picked up freely. The weapon rack locations are marked with small dots on the minimap once the castle has been cleared, so check your map if you have trouble spotting it.
Defeating Tristan and exploring the Flame Knight's Castle yields several valuable items in addition to the Spada Sword. The Scorch Flame Plate Gloves are a particularly notable reward, as they come with the Volcanic Eruption abyss gear ability. Make sure to search the entire castle after the boss fight before leaving.
Item | Type | Details |
|---|---|---|
Shield | Behind boxes on the wall section, reached by climbing up | |
Reward from completing Letter of Silence; includes Volcanic Eruption abyss gear | ||
Accessory | Reward from clearing the castle |
The Spada Sword comes with Abyss Cores already slotted into it, but it does not have any unique abilities tied to those cores. This gives players the flexibility to visit a Blacksmith and swap in cores that complement their build. Because the weapon lacks a signature ability, its effectiveness depends entirely on the cores you choose to install.
Common Abyss Core choices for one-handed swords include Wind Slash for a ranged wave attack, Gale for increased attack speed, and Destruction for raw damage amplification. Experiment with different combinations to find what suits your combat style best.
The Flame Knight's Castle only becomes occupied by Flame Knights as part of the Letter of Silence side quest. You cannot access the castle or obtain the Spada Sword before starting Chapter 8 of the main story.
There is an Abyss Nexus right next to the Flame Knight's Castle, so unlock it for easy return trips if you need to restock supplies before attempting the castle.
During the castle clearing phase, focus on the flamethrower enemies first. They deal the most damage and are harder to deal with when other enemies are swarming you.
After the boss fight, do not fast travel away. The Spada Sword, Drake Shield, and other loot are all found by exploring deeper into the castle from your post-fight spawn point.
Pair the Spada Sword with the Drake Shield, found in the same castle, for a balanced offense and defense playstyle.
Because the Spada Sword has no unique ability, prioritize visiting a Blacksmith shortly after acquiring it to slot in Abyss Cores that fit your build.
