Overview

The Seal of Greed: Goldleaf Merchant Guild is a key item in Crimson Desert. It is a token associated with the Goldleaf Merchant Guild, one of the major trading factions in the Hernand region. The seal represents trading privileges within the Guild and is obtained after the events of Chapter 2: Golden Greed, which revolves around the power struggle for control of the Goldleaf Merchant Guild.

How to Obtain

The Seal of Greed is obtained from a Goldleaf Merchant after completing the events of Chapter 2. The chapter's main questline, "The End of Greed," involves the following key events:

• The Dark Veil: Investigate the Goldleaf Merchant Guild and confront merchants about recent disturbances.

• The Flames of Greed: Travel to Unicorn Cliff to rescue a trapped person from a burning healer's house within a two-minute time limit.

• Kidnapped Healer: Travel to Hernand Highlands to defeat bandits and rescue Hubert the Healer.

• Rebellion or Revolution: Meet Shakatu, who proposes eliminating Hornsplitter in exchange for an artifact and help rebuilding the Greymanes.

• Cheers Echoing From the Edge: Defeat the boss Kailok the Hornsplitter at Unicorn Cliff.

After defeating Kailok, Shakatu takes over the Goldleaf Guild, resulting in a change of leadership. The Seal of Greed is received from a Guild merchant following these events.

The Goldleaf Merchant Guild

The Goldleaf Merchant Guild operates a trading post where players can buy and sell goods. At the Goldleaf Guildhouse, goods are traded in minimum quantities of 25. Players with a wagon can inspect it on the map and choose "Trading Post" to view available goods, current prices, and value trends. The Guild plays a central role in the economy of the Hernand region.

• The Seal of Greed cannot be sold or discarded.

• Key items in Crimson Desert are preserved in inventory to prevent players from being locked out of quest progression.

The Seal of Greed is acquired from a Goldleaf Merchant after completing Chapter 2: Golden Greed. The quest revolves around the power struggle for control of the Goldleaf Merchant Guild, and Kliff's involvement in defending the trading post against hostile groups earns him this token of recognition.

Presenting the Seal of Greed at a Trading Post entitles the holder to the maximum value for their goods.
