Overview

The Plate Boots of the Fallen Kingdom are a Footwear piece in Crimson Desert. Part of the Fallen Kingdom equipment set, these heavy plate boots provide high defense alongside utility bonuses for stamina management and swimming. How to Obtain

The Plate Boots of the Fallen Kingdom are found inside Nightstorm Cave, a waterfall cave located in the Haunted Hill area northwest of Hernand City, up into the mountains. The cave sits just above the first "N" in "Hernand" on the world map.

To reach the cave, follow the river westward from Hernand until you spot a waterfall cascading down the mountainside. Nightstorm Cave is hidden behind this waterfall. At night, the roar of the water and the wind combine to create a storm-like resonance that echoes through the cave, which is how the cave gets its name.

Entering the Cave

Like most waterfall caves in Pywel, you cannot simply walk through the water. You need to use the Stab ability (R1 + Triangle on controller) while facing the waterfall to force your way through the water current. This armed skill is unlocked by default for all three playable characters, so no special prerequisites are required. Stand directly in front of the waterfall, lock onto it, and execute the Stab to push through into the hidden chamber.

Inside the cave, you will find a treasure chest containing the Plate Boots of the Fallen Kingdom. There are no enemies guarding the chest, making this a straightforward pickup once you know the location.

Abyss Gear Properties

As a piece of Abyss Gear, the Plate Boots of the Fallen Kingdom come with Abyss Core slots that can be filled to grant additional passive bonuses. The boots' Abyss Gear effects focus on Stamina Regen and Climb Speed, making them especially useful for traversal and exploration.

To slot Abyss Cores into the boots, you must visit one of the Witches found throughout the world. Abyss Cores are consumable items that can be obtained from hidden chests in the overworld, Abyss dungeons, and various treasure locations. The core effects on these boots are particularly well-suited for players who spend a lot of time exploring mountainous terrain and climbing, since the Climb Speed bonus stacks with their base Stamina Regen to keep you moving vertically for longer.

Notable compatible Abyss Cores for footwear include Vigor I (Stamina Regen +2%) and Ascent I (Climb Speed Multiplier 2.0%), both of which complement the boots' existing stat profile. Players can also slot attack-speed or resistance cores depending on their build.

All of the Fallen Kingdom caves are located in the mountains and highlands around Hernand. Each cave is accessed by using the Stab ability to pass through a waterfall entrance. Players who want to collect the complete set can do so in a single exploration trip by traveling west and northwest from Hernand City.

Comparison with Other Boots

At 5 DEF, the Plate Boots of the Fallen Kingdom tie with the Plate Boots of the Shadows for the highest defense value among footwear. However, the two sets offer different utility bonuses. The Shadows boots provide different special effects oriented toward combat, while the Fallen Kingdom boots focus on exploration utility with Stamina Regen and Swim Speed.

For players who prioritize exploration and traversal over raw combat bonuses, the Plate Boots of the Fallen Kingdom are the stronger choice. The Stamina Regen helps with climbing, sprinting, and dodging, while the Swim Speed bonus is useful when crossing rivers and lakes in the Hernand Region and beyond.
