The Pailunese Musket is a ranged weapon in Crimson Desert classified as a rifle. Originating from the Pailune region, this musket deals 14 Attack Power at range and features a Level 1 Critical Hit Chance bonus. Rifles in Crimson Desert deal high damage at long range but require careful positioning and timing, since each shot has a significant recovery period before the next round can be fired.
The Pailunese Musket shares its 14 Attack Power with the Competition Muskett and Wells Musket, though each variant offers different secondary bonuses. While the Competition Muskett also has a Level 1 Critical Hit Chance, the Wells Musket trades up to Level 2 crit at the same base power. The Pailunese Musket represents a reliable mid-tier rifle option for players who enjoy long-range combat.

The Pailunese Musket can be crafted at a Blacksmith. To unlock the recipe, players must first acquire and read the Ranged Weapons of the World: Guns crafting manual. The required materials include Iron Ore and Copper Ore. Muskets may also appear for sale at equipment shops in certain regions, or drop from firearm-wielding enemies.
The Pailunese Musket supports refinement at a Blacksmith, with each level increasing its Attack Power. The 5 Abyss Core slots provide room for customization through a Witch vendor. Ranged-focused Abyss Cores that boost projectile damage or reload speed pair well with the musket's hit-and-run playstyle. Critical damage cores also synergize with the weapon's built-in crit bonus.
Rifles like the Pailunese Musket are best used as secondary weapons, softening enemies from afar before switching to a melee weapon to finish them off. The musket's slow firing rate makes it risky in close quarters, so maintain distance and use terrain to your advantage. Line up headshots during the aiming mode to maximize damage. The Critical Hit Chance bonus means that even without crit-boosting gear, the Pailunese Musket will occasionally land high-damage shots that can chunk through an enemy's health.
The Pailune region also produces the Pailunese Riteblade, Pailunese Logging Axe, and the Medium Pailunese Banner Pike.
Muskets require bullets as ammunition. Bullet crafting recipes can be learned through projectile crafting manuals.
