How to Track the Invader

In the Crowcaller main quest during Chapter 5, Kliff must track down an invader hiding within Hernand Castle. The objective only gives a general search area, so the exact path through the castle interior can be tricky to find.

Quest Details

Step 1: Enter the Castle and Go Upstairs

Head to Hernand Castle and enter the main building. In the hallway, turn right and locate the staircase leading to the second floor.

Step 2: Find the Room on the Second Floor

On the second floor, look for the wooden door on the left side of the corridor. This is the same room you visited during your first trip to the castle earlier in the story. Enter through this door.

Step 3: Interact with the Abyss Gate

Inside the room, look for a yellow-tinted wall. This is an Abyss Gate that teleports you into the Abyss sky map. Walk up to it and interact.

If the interaction prompt does not appear, open your map, press R3, and then press Triangle on the fast travel point to enter the Abyss area through the map instead.

Step 4: Defeat Enemies at the Tower

Once inside the Abyss area, move forward toward the tower building. Defeat all the enemies here. A cutscene triggers when the last enemy falls, completing the quest.

Tips

• The Abyss Gate can be easy to miss because the yellow wall blends in with the castle decor. Look carefully along the walls of the room.

• If the Abyss Gate interaction fails, the map-based fast travel workaround always works as a backup.

• The enemies inside the Abyss tower are tougher than standard foes, so come prepared with healing items.
